Teen Titan Fan Fic
Prologue
In this world that we live in, there are heroes, and there are villains. Each day, injustice is prevented or permitted . Every day someone's life is affected by a hero or a villain.
We don't see as many heroes as there used to be. But they're still out there, waiting for an opportunity to help others. No, we don't see heroes. We are the heroes. There's a hero in all of us, both the weak and the strong.
But aside that there's a hero in all of us, there are tangible heroes in our world. As a matter of fact, they are one of the few people who believe in themselves, who work together, who make the earth a better place. You may wonder...who are these heroes?
These heroes are the Teen Titans.
It was a fine, sunny afternoon at Jump City's local park. The smell of fresh, cheese pizza at the nearby restaurant was savory.
But somehow, the Boy Wonder wasn't up for pizza and fun and games.
He could hear the changeling's high-pitched laugh as he dug into a tofu-dog.
Robin gagged at the thought of tofu-dogs. Why was Beast Boy attracted to such vegan foods?
He had thought the obvious-Beast Boy could turn into animals, and most of those animals were being fried or boiled in the average home. Robin couldn't help not blaming him.
And there was also Cyborg. Cyborg has suffered a horrible accident and his body parts were replaced with synthetic ones.
Cyborg had never actually talked about how he had the incident. And to be honest, Robin wasn't planning on asking him.
Cyborg punted a football to Beast Boy. It landed suddenly in his tofu-dog.
"Hey!" Beast Boy yelled. "That took me a whole fifteen-minutes to make!"
"Well then next time be more careful!" Cyborg retorted.
"Look who's talking," Beast Boy muttered crossly.
"Will you two stop bitching about the past and thinking about yourselves for a moment?" an angry voice said.
It was only Raven.
Raven was one of the type of anti-social people that were hard to grasp, hard to understand. She had been hurt by Trigon, and Robin felt that she was still learning to trust the team a little more.
It was vice-versa, too. But she was no doubt a useful member to the Titans, as she had proven multiple times. But sometimes, Raven's dark demeanor gave the rest of the Titans the cold shoulder, but Robin knew deep down she was a good person.
And there was one last Titan Robin was especially drawn too.
"Oh, Robin! Isn't the tangy, yellow drink the most glorious of beverages?" a foreign, but kind voice said.
Starfire.
Robin enjoyed showing Starfire the ways and customs of earth, and she still had a lot to learn. But he couldn't help but laugh at her strange liking of drinking mustard.
Starfire was a whole lot stronger than she looked. One time she practically killed him when she gave Robin one of her "hugs of death". But he knew she didn't mean it, Tamaraneans were just...they seemed somewhat nicer than that of humans.
Wait...how could he say that? They eat like wild animals, set up marriages without telling the bride and groom, and capture foreigners and put them in prison.
Some nice people.
Whatever the case, Robin was thinking too much. He lost track of time...
"Uh...Robin?" the changeling asked.
"It is getting near the dark time, Robin. We must head back to our home," Starfire said.
"What she said," Raven added.
The four Titans walked away to the exit of the park. Robin slowly followed behind, smiling weakly.
Sometimes, people don't take the time to stop and think for a while. Think about all that they have, all their things their thankful for. And this was one thing Robin, and all of the Titans, were thankful for.
Each other.
