I so want to know what you think of the first poem I've posted on this site.
Failure in your eyes
Screaming in pain
Flames all around
Burning me,
As I hit the ground.
Crying out in pain
From what you did
What you did,
To your own kid.
For I'm a failure in your eyes
A disgrace you hate
Someone you despise.
Screaming out in torture
No longer feeling my left eye
Holding back
Trying not to cry.
For I'm a failure in your eyes
But what you did
Was still a surprise.
For I thought you loved me
But I was wrong
And I now know
I don't belong.
Belong in this place
Of hurt and pain
As my strength
Began to wane.
And my world went black
For a moment or two
But when I woke
I hated you.
