Hello, all, and welcome to crookshanks' mind…. Ooh… wow! This is my first ficie, but my brother says it is good. Only flame me if it is really necessary. I would very much enjoy it if you reviewed- in other words, review, or you shall face the wrath of Barney! MWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! - seeing as I'd like some feedback from someone who isn't biased.
Disclaimer: I do not own any thing except the plot, and twilight. Not yet, at least. J K Rowling will be leaving me everything when she dies…………hopefully.
Mistletoe by Crookshanks
"Hermione, the house elves don't want liberation! "
"Because they're brain-washed and have been brought up that way!"
I sidle up to my two-legger and rub myself against her ankle, trying to get her attention, but she is deep into yet another argument with that red-furred, lanky boy.
Humans are so slow! I knew it was love at first sight with me and Twilight. (AN: That's my kitty!) How could my two-legger be so smart and yet so stupid? That boy's been eyeing her for six years! I heard her confessions to the girl with the long red mane which I love to bat. She even admitted that she loves him, but she wouldn't admit that he loves her. Humans!
I stretch my neck, looking up at the indoor sky. What's that plant doing up there? I've seen plants- trees- up in the sky outside, but inside? I wonder if the little white berries on the plant are tasty. Better go explore. Let's see, if I climbed up my chair…..Wait a minute. What's that runty-for-a-two-legger-but-oversized-for-a-cat thing doing in my chair? Time for some strategic pouncing. I jump onto his knee, scratch at the parchment he's holding, knock off his spectacles and land on his head.
"What the…?" The boy says and tries to shake me off, in the process standing up. At exactly the right moment, I push off his head and land on top of the mantle. With perfect grace, I pounce atop a nearby book shelf. One paw extended, I reach up to take a swipe at the berries. I miss by a whisker. I stretch as far as I can.
Just as I'm about to snatch the berries, I hear my human's voice, "Crookshanks, No!" I hear her scrambling up the bookshelf after me. Hands are rumpling my fur, clutching at me. Suddenly, I have this…feeling, as though there is nothing at all in the world and my stomach is being lifted up into the air and dropped at the same time. For a second, I feel as if I'm one of the birds I'm always after. I flail my legs, trying to escape, but my human is holding me tight to her chest. We're falling together until—thump! The impact comes. Suddenly I'm staring in to the face of the red-haired boy. That klutz caught us?
My human is gazing into the eyes of the boy. He looks up. Slowly, a smile spreads across his face. He leans over and nuzzles her lips with hers in a soft kiss. From the expression on her face, it must rival the kisses given to me by my Twilight. The boy pulls away bashfully. My human looks at him, pleased but puzzled.
"Mistletoe," he murmurs. And their lips meet again.
Well? What do you think? Is it good for a first ficie? I must admit, my mom worked on it with me, and my brother and dad helped edit it.
Review, or you shall be very, very, sorry!
If you do review though, you get a…umm…potato! (There's a funny story behind that. I should put it into a fanfiction, with Ron as my dad, and Harry and Ginny's daughter as the little girl.)
Please review, thanks!
