Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter, or anything associated with that wonderful book/movie. I own the plot, made-up names, and anything else you might not recognize.
Authors Note: Wow, I haven't updated ANY of my stories in a million years. Wow. I'll try and update at least one of them soon. Hopefully. For all the people who read this, and hopefully review, I have an audition for Governor's School for the Arts on Saturday! AHH! Wish me luck please.
What's That?
Chapter One
"I'm going where?" That was the first question out of Anna O'Leary's mouth as she was told a tremendous amount of news. Anna was a fifteen-year old girl. She's a straight A student, President of her Student Council, and she's the type of girl everyone gets along with. Her mother, Katherine, was born in England, while her father, Sean, was an Irishman. Anna had light brown hair with eyes to match. She was of average weight, and she was at a height of five feet and five inches. Anna was called out of her AP English class to go to the principal's office. As Anna walked into Principal Jones's office, she saw her parents, Principal Jones, and some old man with half-moon spectacles and a long white beard.
"I don't mean to be rude, but why was I called down here," Anna questioned.
"Anna, you are the best student in this school," Principal Jones said.
"Thank you, but I'm pretty sure that's not why I was called down here."
"No, it isn't. Since you are the best student, we have picked you for an exchange student program, but there's a twist."
"What kind of twist?" The old man that Anna didn't recognize spoke up.
"Miss O'Leary, my name is Albus Dumbledore."
"Nice to meet you."
"Wonderful to meet you, also. Now I'm the Headmaster of a school called Hogwarts."
"Is that the school I'm going to," Anna asked. The principal nodded. "I've never heard of it."
"Well, muggles don't hear much of this school," the Headmaster said. Anna looked perplexed.
"What are muggles?"
"Muggles are non-magical people."
"Magic? Ha...magic's for the movies. None of its real."
"Ahh...Miss O'Leary, of course it's real. Watch." Dumbledore pulled out his wand.
"Let me guess, that's your want that the spells come out of," Anna laughed. Dumbledore replied with a simple nod. He muttered something, and with a swish of his wand, Principal Jones's pen turned into a book. Anna's eyes bugged.
"No way..."
"Now Anna," Principal Jones started, "we're sending you to this school to take down notes. No one from their school is coming to take your place because at Hogwarts, they offer a class teaching their students about our world."
"Okay," Anna said.
"So, Miss O'Leary, you will be attending, starting tomorrow, a wizarding world."
"I'm going where?" This is where we are now. Anna was just plain confused. "I thought I was just attending the school."
"You will be attending the school," Dumbledore said, "but there is a village around the school, so you will be getting an experience in the wizarding world."
"And I'm leaving tomorrow?"
"That is correct," Dumbledore replied. He turned to her parents. "You know to bring her to the train station at ten fifty?"
"Yes," Katherine replied. Sean merely nodded his head. Dumbledore turned back to Anna. "You will go to platform nine and three-quarters."
"Is there such a thing?"
"Run at the wall between platforms nine and ten."
"Won't I hit the wall?"
"It's simply a barrier. Only magical folk can get through the barrier, but we put a special spell so you can get through it."
"Okay..."
"Now, remember," Principal Jones said, "take notes. You have the rest of the day off to pack."
"Thank you."
"Have fun."
Okay, it might be too short, but I promise longer chapters later. Review if you like it or review if you don't.
