"I know you didn't mean it, Sanzo." Goku paused, as though searching for the right words. The body on the bed didn't show any signs of hearing.
"Actually, I got used to it after about the millionth time. I was happy enough to be taken along with you. Just to be with you was fine with me. I wanted to stay with you forever. You can't go, Sanzo. You can't…" Goku buried his face into Sanzo's robes. As his crying escalated, he wasn't paying attention and therefore was quiet surprised when a weak Sanzo cuffed him over the head. Goku couldn't believe his eyes and just stared.
"Baka saru, you're too heavy." Tears gushed out of Goku's eyes and he just stared for a long moment, while Sanzo held onto his sore ribs as he sat up.
"Idiot. Did you think I was dead?" Goku sprang to life as he jumped at Sanzo, hugging him tight despite protests and grunts of pain.
"Sanzo… Sanzo!" Goku cried and kept repeating his name over and over, until Sanzo rested his hand on Goku's head.
"Once is enough." And he pet Goku's head until Gojyo and Hakkai appeared and things were okay again.
Baka saru = idiot monkey
