Tears of Rohan
As rain falls from the once blue sky
Your little boy goes off to die
He's fighting for the horses
He's fighting for the trees
He's fighting for the elves as the go across the sea
He's fighting for the human race
He's fighting for your life
He's never fought in battle,
It used to be a game
He'd play with wooden swords
With his friends all day.
But now the wood has turned to steel,
Your little boy's game can kill.
Your eyes are now blurred,
Filled with tears;
But you can still see his,
Filled with fear:
Fear to die
Fear to kill.
How can he go?
He's still so young
He slips through your fingers,
His time has come.
You can see no more,
There are too many tears.
He must look so small
In his armour too big.
His helmet is on
Covers half of his head.
But you can still hear
Hear more cries,
More shouts of fear.
Now the truth sinks in,
You didn't think it could be.
But you're not the only one:
Not the only mother
Losing a son.
