A poem by Molly
When I have a nasty dream
Annie says "It's OK"
When Pepper comes and picks on me
She tells them to go away.
I'm Molly. I am 6 years old.
I live in NYC.
A very tricky place to live
In 1933
Miss Hannigan runs the Orphanage
She gives us tons of chores
We have to wash the dishes
And polish all the floors.
She calls us "Little pig droppings"
Her catchphrase makes us ill:
"If this place don't shine like the Chrysler building
Then all your backsides will.''
Annie's gone to a millionaire's place
For how long, we don't know
I really hope she'll be back soon
This place is awful, so
Since Pepper always picks on me
I'll stand up to her tricks,
Although that may be difficult
Because I'm only 6.
