oooooooooo
If there's anything in his world that Aya could not stand, it's a distraction.
Ken, at the moment, is proving to be one. A huge distraction, actually, and it's getting on Aya's nerves.
Any other day, he would have appreciated Ken's smooth baritone, singing along with some American country-pop-ballad singer; Faith Hill, she was called. Aya pays attention to the most minute of details, yes, but that's not the point now. He's too distracted and annoyed to do so. Any other day, he would have appreciated the almost-blissful smile which found its permanent place on Ken's lips. Any other day, he would have noticed the subtle sway of Ken's hips with each beat. He would have appreciated how the late January breeze would flirt with the tousled strands of Ken's chocolate-colored hair. He would have appreciated how the last of the sun's rays would fall on the younger man's chiseled face, casting a quite poignant aura to the whole image. He would have noted how carefree, and youthful, and how so alluringly alive Ken seemed when he's working with the flowers, as if it was the most joyous task on the planet.
Any other day, he would have appreciated the aforementioned details, but today is anything but. He needed to finish the damned inventory, and he couldn't quite get to the task, because Ken's being a distraction, because hell! He couldn't help but appreciate the damned man in front of him.
It annoyed Aya, too, that he seemed to contradict himself.
"This kiss, this kiss! Unstoppable!" The playful breeze caught Ken's soft voice and carried it over to Aya's ears.
Funny, how it went straight to Aya's heart.
Distraction, indeed. Aya must put a stop to it, at once.
"Ken."
"It's the way you love me- Yes Aya?" Ken's couldn't help but drink in the sight before him. Aya looked like an avenging god, what with his jaw set in determination, eyes ablaze with something akin to the flame of passion and fury, and the sun's orange rays all over him. Aya looked glorious, Ken thought. And furious, too. Ken was sure he didn't do anything wrong this time- why, he was working peacefully in his own corner, so what could he have done to merit Aya's fury this time? But oh! Whatever he did, Ken was sure to do it again, if this was the punishment.
He wouldn't object to Aya's soft lips pressed to his- all fire and passion and emotion. He wouldn't object to the wild beating of his heart, as if his blood suddenly knew how to play the percussion, and made use of his heart to produce rather unsettling beats. He also wouldn't object to the feel of Aya's heart, beating exactly the way his did.
The moment ended all too soon, but Ken didn't mind. He didn't mind at all when Aya abruptly pulled away, oh no, he didn't. Not with that glazed look that passed Aya's eyes as he did so, and no, not with the way Aya ran the tip of his tongue on his bottom lip, without the mind that he did it.
Aya marched back to the counter and continued to glare bloody murder at the account books, as if nothing happened at all. Ken grinned.
"This kiss, this kiss! Subliminal!"
