Disclaimer: I don't own Gundam Seed Destiny

It was a sunny spring afternoon, warm breezes blew by as birds sang their graceful melodies, and Kira and Lacus were walking down a quiet path through the park holding each others hands tightly with their fingers intertwined with the others.

The walked towards a nearby bench under a tree and sat down as Kira started talking.

"Lacus, "He started as he looked down, "Can I ask you something?"

She looked at him, puzzled why he doesn't just get straight to the question.

"Yeah, what is it?" Lacus replied sweetly while giving him a warm smile to ensure him.

"How come, in the end you picked me over Athurn?"

"Why do you ask?"

"Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't have trust in you or anything, I was just wondering." Kira quickly added incase she got the wrong message.

"Well, remember that silver bracelet that my dad gave me?"

Kira nodded, "Yeah, I remember, you lost it a few times because it was too loose."

"Kira, do you believe in fate?"

Taken back by her sudden question that is off the topic, he answered, "Well, kind of." Unsure of his answer, he looked at Lacus as she brushed her hair back.

"Well, I don't know about you but I believe in fate, it always comes back down to fate as the only answer as to how two people got together."

"Lacus, I'm not exactly following you…" Kira shyly admitted, he didn't want to sound dumb or anything, but right now, she was making no sense to him.

Noticing his confusing, she giggled. "You see Kira, that bracelet, I always lose it because it's too loose, at first I thought that if a guy found it and gave it back to me three times straight, fate is telling me he's the one."

Even more confused now, Kira asked, "But I only gave it back to you once, and that time, it was Athurn who found it and gave to me to give you, how come-" Lacus cut him off before he gets to far, and continues talking.

"Yeah it's true, the first time I dropped it at the mall, Athurn found it and gave it back to me, and the second time I dropped it at the park, it was also Athurn who gave it back to me, lastly, the third time, it's true Athurn is the one who found it, but you're the one who gave it back to me."

"And that means?" This was seriously making Kira confused, wasn't she the one who said the guy who found it three times straight?

She looked at him and smiled, she could tell he cares, and this made a warm feeling rise inside her, "That means, every time Athurn gives it back, I lose it again, but because the third time you're the one who handed it to me, it was never lost again, you see?" Lacus explained as she waved her wrist in front of Kira's face, and then that's when Kira noticed that same bracelet on her wrist shinning under the suns rays.

Finally getting what she was trying to tell him all along, he smiled, "Yeah, I see, its fate."

And they sat there for the rest of the afternoon enjoying each other's company as Kira thought back at Lacus's words…'it was never lost again.'

A/N: I replace this fic after doing some editing since my good friend Rosegirl18, along with some other reviewers, pointed out to me that I had quite a lot of grammar mistakes in this (gomen! I was rushing and didn't check! I am seriously sorry about spelling a simple word like choose wrong, really, I didn't know what I was thinking---ahhhhh I'm so ashamed!)

…So what do you guys think? The idea just popped in my head when I was fidgeting with my bracelet so I'm not sure if it's that good (it's a miracle how some things just come up in you mind). But anyhow, I just wanted to point out how Kira and Lacus are meant to be (since I love this couple so much! xD). R & R!
