Everyone always talked about how one would know when one would know that they were home.

It would be where you felt most wanted, the place you thought about in fond remembrance when not there. A place that could be bare of any personal belongings and still feel as if you belonged. A safe Haven, a shelter from the storm, the only place that you believe you can wholly be yourself and not worry.

He never understood why it was automatically assumed that you would only have one place that would feel like home, or that it would always be a place and not something else. Something warmer and just there in a way. It seemed silly and a bit naïve to think that way. If one actually understood the incoherent babble he used in trying to explain it to others. For a while he didn't know what it had meant as well. That was common when it came to the things his mother thought were important to a growing child.

For the longest time he thought of home as the place he had grown up in, familiar faces and settings; routines that rarely faltered from their main course. How could anything this strange new world have to offer replace that which he felt more comfortable in.

He had never asked to be responsible for an entire country, he just wanted to go to school and play baseball. He wasn't in need of glory and power that came with being the ruler of a country, pride and popularity were not things he craved. Yet despite all of that he was always doing everything he could to protect those he had become in charge of protecting, in anyway that he could.

In time he would see this world as his rightful home. That was what many of those who vowed to serve and protect them thought silently when they made plans for future tidings. They were right in that time would allow him to become attached and fond of this strange world. This did not mean that he didn't think of his birthplace and those that were waiting for him there. It was the same when he was back home listening to his mother and father talking. He thought about those that saw something he couldn't see that made them choose him as their ruler.

As time went by in both worlds and things he thought would never be familiar to him became somewhat of a comforting presence he couldn't help but see the wisdom in what his mother kept trying to teach them all those years ago.

He had found his home of heart amid the chaos of life. It wasn't one place, but many and wasn't always a place one lived in.

Friends, loves, family, even the enemies and bullies made along the way were what made him feel at home. Whether it was playing catch with Conrad, talking with Murata, or just being around everyone that had help and watched him become who he was how he felt that he had found where he belonged.

"Your Majesty!"

"Yuuri!"

He had found his home and he would make it as peaceful as possible. No matter what role he was in on either side of this mirror he called his life.
