Can snow be another color then white?
It seemed like such a childish and simple question, that should have a simple answer as well. Who ever heard of snow being anything but white as it falls from the sky. But really who looks at the snow except in pure and child delight. We all do in some remote part of our minds, that same place where such childish questions can be asked without fear of looking anything other then an adult.
The adult world however, it's not everything that one imagines. I don't know which is better or harsher in its own rights, but sometimes, just sometimes I wish I could go back to times when thoughts like that were just that. So many questions that can only be asked and answered through the tinted view of childhood.
Can the snow be another color then white, even as it falls serenely to the ground?
One day, maybe I would like to find out. It may seem childish and pointless to many. I see something in there worth looking for. What if white isn't the pristine color that we have always been told? Maybe snow does come in different colors and we can't see it due to our tinted view of the world.
If I was to always believe everything that I was told by those in the adult world, then you wouldn't be here. The thing we have been searching for wouldn't be real as well. So one day I'll show the world that snow isn't always white as they say it is.
Maybe one day I can show them a snowflake, one still falling from dark clouds that isn't white. One that shines bright red.
And you'll be there with me to catch it in our hands, hands restored to the way they once were.
