Hey! I'm back with a fic and I hope you like it. My parents are putting our dog and cat to sleep (at the vet's). So I'm really sad and I need to get it out of my system. Hope you enjoy it… And maybe lay a tear or two…
Disclaimer: This all belongs to my idol, J.K. Rowling except the plot.
A tear fell from an emerald eye. A second… A third... A red haired girl was crying at the sight of the picture of her dog. He was gone. Gone… Forever.
Lily Evans laid on her bed, crying every tear from her soul. Her dog, Pixie, had always been a fair companion to her, even if she was at Hogwarts.
Her mother had sent her a letter, saying that Pixie was ill and should be put to sleep now or he would suffer. Lily had agreed in one condition: her mother had to stay with the dog in the time due because she couldn't go.
Her mother had a big heart and decided she was okay with that condition and had gone the day before and sent a letter by owl post to Lily to inform her that it was done.
That was the letter Lily had just red and had been crying over for the last hour. Her mother had also sent her a picture of her dog in his last moments.
Lily hadn't gone to any of her courses ever since she had received her letter. She had two more to go to and had no intentions in going. She was too sad. She needed something to do.
She got out a pencil and a sheet of parchment and started to write how she felt. Writing had always been a therapy for Lily, it was like if every time she wrote down how she felt, her feelings disappeared and left her alone for a while.
After an hour of writing it down, she decided it was enough. She needed to cool down, take a hot bath or something that would make her relax.
She left the Head's common room but heard a sound.
"Lily? Are you here?" Someone said. It was a boy and the only one who knew the password for the Heads' room, was James.
"I'm over here…" She said feeling her voice trembling. James got to where she was; they had been going out for over a month and she needed someone's comfort. "James, my dog… He's dead…" She said starting to cry. James wasn't sure what to do so just led her to the couch and didn't say anything. Lily needed to let her feelings out and if crying was the best way to do it, he would be there for her.
They stayed there for a while, not knowing that other stuff was going on around them and not sure of what was going to happen, but they knew in their hearts, that things between them would change because of this. Lily also knew that even if her dog was gone forever, he wasn't necessarily gone forever…
He would always remain in her heart!
I hope you liked it. I had a hard time to write it because I was crying. I've just lost two of my animals and I feel terrible. Good thing there's people I love to help me out in tough times… Like these. Please, review!
