Tick...tick...tick

Robin lay awake on his bed eyes staring straight at the ceiling above him. It was a Friday night. He had decided to take a break for this night after having been up the past few days reading through files of old enemies over and over again.

They would come back.

They always did.

Yet right now he lay awake unable to close his eyes and get some much needed rest. Accompanying him the sound of the ticking clock. He sat himself up and let out a long drawn out sigh. 'No point wasting time lying here'. He thought to himself.

Walking over to the clothes rack he retrieved his mask and his cape. He walked over to the sliding door and punching the code into the RX-150 lock by its side. 290426.

Adjusting his cape and mask while walking to the study he noticed that the kitchen lights were on. He went in to switch off the lights. No need to raise the power bill even by a little. While walking out he noticed the kettle on the stove, Raven had probably just made some tea.

Not wanting to waste more time he turned off the lights and proceeded to the study switching on the monitor when he had sat down in front of the big monitor. 'Now where to start?' he eventually started looking through the files of the various villains they had encountered. Just like the night before and the night before that.

Time seemed to fly by the minutes now into hours, and yet. He had found nothing. Looking to the bottom-left side of the screen the computer clock showed. 3:27am.

He switched off the monitor and rose from his seat. Taking a few steps towards the door before collapsing to the floor. Letting a curse escape his lips he tried to get up. But once again found himself on the floor.

"Guess the lack of sleep was getting to me."

"Took you long enough to figure that out, boy blunder"

"Raven?" he asked slightly surprised. What was she doing up this late?

"Quiet you ruined my book."

'That would explain it' thought robin

She moved over to him and held his hand teleporting both of them into his room. Where she placed him on his bed.

"heh. Guess that lock doesn't really work with you around huh?" Robin mumbled. The lock had cost him money. He reached to his mask and peeled it off. His sudden sleepiness making him less cautious then he would be usually.

Raven began to walk towards his door when he called out to her.

"Raven? Stay with me for a while. Just to make sure that I fall asleep?"

Sighing she walked over to his bed and sat on the side. Slightly surprised when she saw his eyes. Blue. She had always thought they would be brown.

"Thanks, Rae"

Raven stayed for awhile after Robin had fallen asleep having seen no reason to leave.

Soon Raven herself had fallen asleep leaning against the headrest of Robins bed.

It was quiet for sometime. Till Robin shot up in bed waking up Raven with a shock.

Robins breathing was heavy and his uniform now drenched in sweat, tears forming in his eyes.

Raven remained quiet and only heard Robin mumble something about them coming back.

She put her hand on his shoulder and said "go back to bed Robin I'm here"

"Yeah…"he mumbled laying down again on the bed his eyelids now drooping "yeah… I can trust you Raven…I trust you more then anyone else…." And with that he crept back to sleep. The nightmares gone.

Raven sat there for a moment trying to understand what Robin had just said. Could he have meant…? No. They were friends and nothing more. Besides Robin was half-asleep. He didn't mean it in that way. She got up and walked to o her room, phasing through Robin's door. All the while reasoning to herself and had almost convinced herself.

Almost.

She let a smile on her face
