She had been dreaming about him.
"You're very lovely Miss Ludivine." Jack blushed "Please call me Lily."...
"Oh Helen, why must you wake me!" she puffed into her pillow, assuming her maid had been the one to open the window.
"I was having a wonderful dream about..." She lifted her head and looked at the window.
She gasped and stopped her sentence suddenly.
"Finish please, I want to know what you were dreaming of. I dreamt about you all night." Jack grinned from the window.
"JACK!" she gasped as she sat up to grap her robe.
"What are you doing here? My father would knock you from that window if he saw you!"
"I wanted to come see if I could court you." he said as if there was no other way to ask a parent to see their daughter, but to sneak through the window.
She tryed as hard as she could to suppress her smile but somehow failed.
"Well come back at noon and go to the DOOR and ask my father." she said almost laughing.
"Yes ma'am." He said with a wink and dropped out of site.
She looked to where the sun was and decided it was close to breakfast time.
She pushed back her covers and called for Helen.
When she was finally ready to come downstairs she wore a light blue dress,
it had elbow length sleeves and was a little off the shoulders.
The bottom was whispy and thinner than most dresses.
She had secretly torn some of the innner layers out.
"Good morning father!" she said cheerily as she sat down "Good morning sweetheart." he said trying not to laugh.
"What's wrong?"she asked as she looked herself over .
"Your young man is waiting outside for you." he said pointing to the window.
"What?" she asked whipping her head around to the window to see Jack sitting under a tree eating an apple.
She looked back to her father with wide eyes.
"Yes, you both have my permission to go and cause mischief." he laughed.
She smiled, deeply loving her father at that moment.
"Go on Ludivine, you dont need breakfast that bad do you?"
"Bye father!" she said running out the front door.
