Always Will Be
A short snippet ...

It was always like this. He'd tell her how much he'd enjoyed her company and she'd just smile and nod. He'd always tell her he really loves her and she'd just smile and squeeze his hand. Sometimes, he'd wonder if she really felt at ease with their relationship … but he understood that she never really was the type who'd talk much about things. She was more of a "show, not tell" person.

They had been walking down the beach. The sand felt good under his feet. It was warm and soft. He gazed at the sea and from the distance, he saw white-colored boats, like swans gliding in a lake. He then slowly glanced at Saki, who was still staring at the sea. Her hair was still in her usual braids, he mused, and yet some wisps of it danced with the gentle sea breeze.

The sun began to disappear in the horizon. She noticed his stare and raised an eyebrow. He just laughed, like he always did, and embraced her. She would always lean her head on his chest and sigh.

With that, he knew that even if no words have been said, it was always there. The feeling … never really fleeting or disappearing. She loves him and he loves her and to him, that's what matters.

The sun was almost gone now, retreating to give way to the moon. At that moment, he knew what he had to do. He gently tilted her chin and lowered himself to show her what he felt each passing day for her. It was a simple kiss, accented by the different shades of blue of the horizon and the sea and their love … and at that moment, it was perfect.
