Pink Fluff

At some point everyone needs a pet of some kind. People say it helps children with responsibilities and teachings them the values of a companion. For one Uchiha Itachi, he never really had a chance to even adopt one as a child.

He watched the other little would be ninjas be forced with the responsibly of caring for a pet. His father never really found much sense in using that method on Uchiha children.

They make you weak, with their cute faces, undying love, and the ability to read your emotions without secret abilities. They were a threat. Animals were dangerous, or so Itachi thought.

But here he was, famed killer of his own clan with a small pink haired kitten in his lap. Itachi found the little creature after coming back from sand. There with its dirty brown colored fur, helpless, and abandoned; Itachi watched the little kitten mew and aggressively try to attack him.

Now if his fishy friend was with him, the kitten would have been fish food. No, instead he was alone, and the little ball of dirt attacked him. For what reason the Uchiha murderer did not know he did something impulsive. The motives even unknown to himself, he reached out a hand and grasp the dirt wad. Clear green eyes peered back at him, hissing and snarling, the little kitten even tried to swipe its little claws at his face.

Stuffing the little thing into his coat, not truly caring if it wanted to come or not, Itachi headed home.

Once there, the Uchiha went about cleaning only to find that brown was not it's natural color. Instead it had an oddly colored pink coat, and soft from the use of his personal shampoo.

Calmer, cleaner, and now drier the little kitten rested happily in the murders lap. Red eyes watched it's little chest move up and down. A pale hand gently stroked the fur back, unsure what to do with it now.

He could feed it to Kisame. He could toss it outside and let it deal with nature like any other animal.

Or…

Or he could keep it.

After all how hard could it be to take care of a little thing of pink fluff?

AN: I just did this for fun. Itachi is way to angst burden like his brother. I would figure neither of the Uchiha brothers ever had a pet in their life.

If I do another chapter, the cat would actually be based off of my sweet (yet very evil) cat. Write what you know right? LOL
