Disclaimer: They do not belong to me. If they did, the show wouldn't be over.
Harm: You can't do that sir! With all due respect Admiral, you can't put Bud
in that position. Especially against his wife.
Admiral: I have no other choice. The only other person I have is Commander
Turner, and he is on bench duty.
Me: What about Singer? I'm sure Harriett would love to go up against her.
Admiral: I'm sorry to disappoint her and you, but singer is TAD to Iraq for
another four months.
Me: So you're telling me that all my friends are against me?
Harm moved closer to me, but for some reason, today it felt weird,
almost uncomfortable. Maybe it was because we were in uniform. and in the
admiral's office.
Admiral: Now for the other reason I called you two in here. Meredith and
I are going to Italy for a week or two. So, I am leaving the two of you in
charge. Equal responsibilities and equal command. I don't expect any reports
of unfair treatment or making-out in the office.
Harm: Yes sir.
Me: You won't be disappointed sir.
Harm: When will you be leaving?
Admiral: We were planning on leaving tomorrow, but...
Me: But nothing sir. We realize how much you and Meredith have been looking
forward to this trip.
Harm: Yeah, don't worry sir. We'll take care of everything.
Admiral: Okay, it looks like you two have everything under control. Your
duties begin tomorrow at 08:00. Dismissed.
Harm and I: Aye, aye sir!
And we left the office for the day. I thought Harm would drop the Mic
subject for the night. Boy was I wrong.
