Harm: How could you do this to me Sara? To us?
Me: I didn't do anything harm. If you weren't so insanely jealous of Mic, I
would have told you about him calling me. The only thing I am guilty of is
talking to my ex-fiance and being in love with you.
Harm: Now's not the time for jokes. This is serious. The last time you were
accused of killing your ex, Brumby tried to put you in the brig.
Me: He was just doing his job Harm. You're blowing this thing way out of
proportion.
Harm: This thing could get you years in jail or even killed.
Me: Do you really think I would kill him? Do you really have that little
faith in me?
Harm: No Sara. I don't think you killed him. You wouldn't do that to him. I
think Renee did it out of jealousy and decided to blame it on you. You said
she didn't seem too upset about his death right?
Me: Yeah, what does that have to do with anything?
Harm: When her father died, she cried for days. You'd think she'd at least
pretend to be upset, to cover up her tracks. Another thing, why did she visit
you? Why not me? She cold have said I killed him out of jealousy. He did steal
both of my women.
Me: I didn't know you still had such strong feelings about Renee.
I was starting to get angry at him. He started by yelling at me for not
telling him. Then he tried to take my side. Then he turned things around and
made matters worse by calling Renee his woman. Too bad I didn't still have my
own place, but he was going to sleep on the couch tonight. We walked a while
in uncomfortable silence. He then tried to tell me he didn't have feelings
for Renee anymore.
Harm: I didn't mean it like that Sarah. I just meant Mic stole you from me
two years ago. Then Renee. Remember when she came back from her father's
funeral and said she was engaged?
Me: Yeah, that was just after Mic walked out on me. Did you know that Mic and
Renee went to the opera together that one time when you were on that Russian
Submarine and I was on that American one?
Harm: No one ever told me about that incident.
Me: I didn't know until months later. Did Renee ever tell you who she was
engaged to?
Harm: You know what, she never did tell me. I guess I was too shocked to ask.
Me: There is only one hitch in this theory. I saw Mic get on that plane back
to Australia.
Harm: Yeah, and I was still dating Renee at the time.
Me: Back to the drawing board.
