That was the last we talked about Mic for the next couple of days. In

fact, we didn't even think about the murder until the cops came to JAG to

arrest me... In front of all my friends no less! Up until that point, no one

at JAG knew about Mic except Harm, the admiral, and me. Now everyone knew.

You should've seen the looks on Bud and Harriett's faces. I felt so bad and

I could tell Harm did too.

Harm was going to go to the Police station with me, but I assured him I

would be fine and told him to stay, call a staff meeting, explain what's

going on, and assign counsel. So, he did and this is how he told me it went:

Harm: Everyone settle down. I know there are a lot of questions about what is

going on with the colonel.

Bud: What was she arrested for sir?

Harm: She is suspected of murder.

Harriett: Who do they think she murdered?

Harm: I'll get to that in a minute. First the court assignments. This will be

a military trial. So, Commander Turner since you are on bench duty, you will

be on the bench in this case. Lutenient Sims, you will be defending Mac, so I

suggest you get over there and start making a strategy with her.

Harriett: Aye sir!

Bud: Who will prosecute sir?

Harm: Funny you should ask that question Bud. Actually, the admiral assigned

you that job, so I suggest you get cracking. I will explain the situation to

everyone else at 13:30. You are dismissed for lunch.

Staff: Aye, aye sir!

Then everyone went on their own to lunch. Everyone seemed to be pairing

up, boyfriend-girlfriend like, so everyone was having lunch dates. Everyone

that is, except Harm and me, and Bud and Harriett. Harm decided he didn't

have an appetite, so he came to the police station to see how we were doing

on the case. As always, we ended up arguing about the situation.

Me: Harm, what in the world are you doing here?

Harm: I just wanted to see how you were holding up.

Harriett: Mac and I have almost come up with a defense sir.

Harm: Outside the office, you can call me Harm. So, what have you two come up

with?

Me: Well, yo are out star witness to tell them I have and aliby.

Harm: Harriett, would you excuse us for a moment?

Harriett: Sure Command... I mean Harm. (Smiles as she leaves) I'll get some

lunch and be back in about a half hour. Is that okay Mac?

Me: Sure, take your time, have lunch with Bud.

Harriett left, and I started to get a bad feeling when I saw the look on

Harm'sface. I knew he didn't have any good news for me.

Me: So, what did you want to talk to me about Harm?

Harm: You can't call me as a witness Sarah.

Me: And why not? Harm, you are the one who said I was in the office all day.

Harm: Well, you were, weren't you?

Me: Yeah, but we need someone to tell that to the court.

Harm: Do you really think the jury will even consider my testaminy, given the

circumstances?

Me: What circumstances?
