Just a random little thing that's a bit longer than a drabble so I put it up by itself rather than into my Beydrabbles collection.

Disclaimer: contains spoilers for eppisode 44 of G-Revolution. Not my characters/show. Only the idea is. Also? This is a one-shot.

Perched on the end of Tala's hospital bed, Bryan chewed at his nails, his eyes glued to the small television that Mr. Dickenson had set up in the corner. He couldn't leave the hospital yet, the doctors hadn't cleared him so he was unable to get to the Justice 5 tournament but there was no way in all the levels of hell he was going to miss watching it in here. This particular battle was the most important to him. His Tiger was up, playing against the elder brother of the young girl just a few floors down from the room he was in now. Letting out a long breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding, Bryan ceased chewing on his nail for a few moments, watching both bladers approach the ring. Crusher looked stressed out and Rei...he couldn't quite read his boyfriend. Not through this pathetically tiny screen at least. He looked calm on the outside but his eyes said something different. Cursing the camera men, the Falcon demanded they zoom in on the nekojin, not the stupid crowd. The battle ragged on and moonlight eyes never tore from the screen once, murmuring Russian under his breath to whatever gods were out there that Rei would win. He'd come out like the wild tiger he was in the beginning, kicking Crusher's ass all across the complicated beydish but now...things looked to be turning around.

"No..." Bryan groaned, ignoring the stabbing pain in his side when he pulled his legs to his chest. The movement jarred his broken ribs but nothing except the battle on the television mattered. Rei -had- to win. He had to beat that gigantic, brainwashed toy of Boris's. The G-Revolutions had to get themselves tied up. And the Tiger had promised him he'd do his best. Just earlier that day he'd come by with his team-mates to see he, Tala and Spencer. That smooth, calm voice promising that whoever he was up against he'd be careful and do his very best.

"Damn him...he didn't promise to win." the Falcon muttered, glancing away from the screen for a moment to check on his captain. Still comatose with Kai's Dranzer beside his head. Momentarily wondering if the Phoenix was ever coming back, Bryan's attention was snapped back to the television at the sound of a loud crack of thunder. Rei was going for his utmost attack. Clenching his fists in anticipation, the Falcon barely blinked while watching the final moments of the battle. Then it was over...it had been so close. So very, very close. Driger was only inches from the dish. The breath went out of Bryan with a whoosh, causing his ribs to ache again. Rubbing a hand over his face, he let out another shuddering sigh and threw the nearest object, the converter, at the wall, making a good sized dent in the drywall.
"Fuck..."
