Temptations

Note: This takes place a year after Jay gives Emma gonnoreha in "Secret" season 4; this all takes place preferably three months after "Redemption Song". So...here is Temptations!

Chapter 1. Instant Attractions

Jay Hogart had just gotten back from a long summer in the island of Hawaii. He had been through alot over the past year. He let Emma "Greenpeace" Nelson go down on him, he and Alex were not on speaking terms, and he felt like a social outcast in the huge school known as DCS. He hated it!

Manny approached him, a dry expression on her face. He rolled down the window nearest to her. "What do you want, Santos?"

She glared at him for a minute, then her anger got the best ofher, and she spit in his face.In a bitter rage, Jay slammed his car and pinned Manny against the nearest wall. "What the hell-"

"You're an asshole, Jason!" She exclaimed.

Jay cringed at the mention of the name teachers called him 'Jason'. "Don't you have somewhere else you need to be...like painting your nails and giving your girlie-friends tips on boys?" He asked aggitated.

"No," Manny replied, rather sharply, "I have better things to do, Jay."

Jay's eyebrow raised slightly. "Oh,really?"

Manny slightly nodded. "Yeah, why did you screw Emma then treat her like-"

"Shit?" Jay cut her off, running his hand through his brown hair.

She nodded. "Why?"

Jay rested his body on the hood of his car. "Why do you care? You have your boy-toy Craig!"

"I just want to get to the bottom of this." She eyed him, hearing his cell phone vibrating.

Jay opened it. "Yo?"

"Jay, man, there's a party at The Ravine tonight. Bring a girl and let's have some fun?"

Jay sighed. "Nah, man. Not this time." He hung up the phone.

Manny rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Craig is with Ellie. So...I'm here..."

Jay eyed her suspisiously. "What? You thing your little flirty banter is inticing me? Guess again, Manny. Now, if you'll excuse me, I see a dime worth chasing." He noticed a black-haired, deep brown-eyed girl taking to one of her friends.

Manny sighed, as Emma walked up. "Hey, Manny? What's going on with you and Jay? Don't even think about hooking up with him, he's trouble! You rememer what you said to me last year, don't you?"

"Of course I do, Em. I'm looking to get to the bottom of this."

"Look," Emma sighed,"you're not Sherlock Holmes, so stop trying. I'm cured; I'm no taking that chance again. C'mon, Snake's making his famous Gardener's Pie for dinner!"

Both girls headed down the pavement towards their house. Jay eyed Manny as she turned around. He rolled his eyes. He couldn't be falling in love with Manny Santos, he just couldn't.
