"I love you" Hermione said.
"What?" replied Harry.
It all started in 6th year, when Harry, Ron and Hermione found out that Voldemort would only die, once all of the Horcruxes were destroyed. Together, they set out to find them.
Their journey began that July, when Ron's brother, Bill, got married. They attended the wedding and Harry danced away with his friend, Ginny, while Hermione danced with her friend Ron, throwing occasional glares at Ginny.
"Right, Hermione, I think it's time you told him." Ron said, conversationally. Hermione went red. She considered pretending not to know what he's talking about, but decided against it.
"He's going through enough at the moment. All three of us are about to set out on a possibly life threatening journey together!" Hermione realised she was shouting. A little old man was staring unblinkingly at her. "Oh what are you looking at?" She snapped at him.
"That's all the more reason to tell him. Hermione, how would you feel if Harry died and you didn't get to tell him how you feel?" Ron said quietly, as Harry danced, well, tried to dance, by that very second. Hermione was speechless. She knew Ron was right. She nodded. Then she shook her head.
"Oh Ron, he's Ginny's ex boyfriend!.
Ron grinned. "He broke up with her because he wont see her and he doesn't want to put her in danger! The same won't apply to you, Herms, because you'll be in danger anyway!"
Hermione stood up. A new song had just begun and Ginny had just sat down, looking breathless. Hermione approached Harry.
"Harry, wanna dance?"
He grinned. "I'll try"
A slow song had just begun. Harry gripped Hermione's waist. Hermione felt shivers run up her back. She placed one hand on his shoulder and lay her head close to his ear.
"I love you." Hermione said.
"What?" replied Harry.
