A thunder stroke again making the scared girl scream.

"Sarina, calm down, it's just thunder."said Darien in a very sleepy voice

"Darien, come here, I'm scared." She said in an I'm-about-to-cry-yeah-I'm-that-scared voice.

"Ok."Darien got up, this was the third time she woke him up. He sat next to her and she put the blanket over him. She put her arms around his back and leaned on him.

"Darien, stay here, don't leave me please." She said, she was about to cry, she sunk her fingernails into his bare skin. "Stay with me." She said quietly.

"Fine, Sarina, whatever you want, I just need to get some sleep." He leaned on the wall that the bed stood against.

Sarina pulled him down untill his head lay on the pillow. She smiled. He was allready sleeping. She Leaned closer to him. She felt his arms unconsiosly pull her closer and hold her close. She felt so safe, so close to some that seemd to know her and love her allready. That's what she loved about him. She put her head down on his chest. She listened to his calm heart beat. She put her arms slightly under his shoulders, letting her hands grip his shoulders, she held on to him like to live. She listened to his heart beat and slowely it calmed her to sleep. The next time the thunder stroke, he pulled her closer, he let his legs interbine with hers and pulled her closer. Every time the thunder stroke though the night, Sarina would wake up for a second, then feeling Darien's arms tighten aound her she'd fall back to sleep.

The morning was beautiful, the rain had stoped and the sun was shinning, with a rainbow in the sky. The sun carefully shined through the window in Darien's room. It wasn't early morning at all. Darien's mom had allready came, to see how Sarina and Darien were. She saw them, she didn't want to waik the two up, so she just took the blnkets from the windows and opened the windows up, then left to do the many things she had to do around the house.

It was quiet hours later, only the birds were chirping. Sarina carefully opened her eyes. It took her a second to remembe yesterday, she smiled. She mooved up, in Darien's arms. She put one arm verticly on his chest, she leaned her chest on top of him. With her other hand she carefully and gently trased his lips. His head was lying on the right side of his neck. Her thin fingers gently played with his bangs. She just watched him sleep. This felt so weird. It seemed like they had a night of love and she was just waiting for him to wake up, but it was nothing like that. He just held her in his arms. She didn't want to get up, she didn't want to move or ever stir a little bit, no she just wanted to lie here, in Darien's arms. She found this so strange. She barrely knew him, but it felt like she was ment to love him forever. He was that one of a kind guy who would give her anything she wanted, she'd give her the stars in the sky, he'd give her the sun if he could. He'd give her his heart and soul, but the only thing he'd expect back would be tree simple words she's never said to anyone in her life. Those tree simple words 'I love you'. She looked down on her amrs, they were bruises, but the brueses seemed better. She wondered why she was suddenly falling for him.' Well why not?' She thought.' I don't know how anyone doesn't.' she thought again, but not relizing it she started talking, very quietly, her voice a bit louder then a wisper "He has those enoying bangs that are allways in his eyes, you just want to push them away. He has the most gorges green eyes, like the garden of heaven." She put her hand on his cheek "My skin looks so white on his. His hair is so dark, you just wana put your fingers through it, because it's so real. His eyelashes are so long." She moved her finger gently and partly teasingly across his lips. "His lips are so soft, his so smart, so nice." She leaned her head on his chest like before putting her arms under his shoulders like before and holding on to him. "He cares for me so much for no reason at all. He thinks I haven't changed, maybe he'll see I have. Then he'll leave me alone, like everyone else does."

"Don't think like that, I won't leave you." Said Darien openeing his eyes, he hurd her last words as he was waking up. He pulled her up, letting her arms slip out from under his shoulders. She put her arms on top of his shoulders letting her fingers slip into his hair. "Don't you ever think like that Sarina,"he looked into her eyes, he held them looking strait into his and nothing else, "I'm not anyone else, I'm me, I care about you. I don't want you to be sad or misserble. I might have been invisible to you for years, but you weren't invisible to me. I saw you. I watched you become who you are now. I know you. I saw how you grew to hold all your sadness inside and pretend to be happy and cheerful. I know it all, I know why. You don't need to put up that mask for me and maybe the fact that you don't have to, that you opened up to me so easyly and I haven't pushed you away, scares you. Don't be scared, I'd kill myself before I'd hurt you, anyway, anyhow." He pulled her down closer.

"Darien, I'm scared, not just of you, of everything." She looked into his eyes, they calmed her.

"Trust me, I'll protect you from anyone and anything. You don't need to be scared. Life isn't sepoust to be very scary. And I'll make it as unscary as I can." He smiled

Sarina started gigling."Unscary isn't a word, you made it up." She looked so beautiful with a smile on he lips.

"I know it's not, I don't care." He just looked at her. Her head was falling slowely down, her lips getting closer to his by the moment. He wanted to kiss her, every part of him wanted to kiss her and hold her and tell her how much he loved her, but it was too soon. He promise not to scare her, so her wouldn't. He took her face into his hands.

"What are you doing?" She asked

"Not yet." He told her, he quickly moved her down on the bed, under him. She felt the electric rushm he leaned down slowely, he was sadusing her by breathing softly and slowely watching her lips as his breath hit them. Her eyes slowely closed, he leaned down almost kissing her lips, but instead e kissed her cheek. He moved off of her quickly and got up.

"Ah!"She pouted pulling herself up on her elbows. "Darien were are you going?" She asked as he headed for the room's door.

"To take a shower, I'll be quick, go ask mom to give you something to wear today." He headed out the door and in a few minuets she hurd the shower turn on.

Sarina streched her arms and got up, she was about to go downstairs and ask Darien's mom to barow some clothes, when she saw a pretty summer dress on the back of the chair on which this very night gown that she was wearing lay on yesterday.(The chair next to his table, the one with the computer and books.) She picked in the dress, it was very light pink with flowers all over it, it had thin straps and it was a halter, the skirt of the dress was a sun skirt. Sarina noticed a pair of sandals on heals, under the chair. She picked them up, they were pink and matched the dress. The heal on the shoe she was examaning was about two inches, it was clear with pink sparkles. There was an inch thick strap on the shoes, it was see-through like the heal and had pink sparkles on it too. Sarina tryed on the shoes, they fit perfectly, then were exactly her size. She walked around the room in them. When she walked back to the table she noticed a pink ribbon lying on the table. It seemed that just like Darien, Mrs. Shealds knew Sarina too well. She didn't mind. No one's ever cared enought to give her all this. She moved the chair from the table, to sit on it and saw a pink purse on a thin, pink strap. She smiled and as she did she hurd foot steps. She saw Darien and her smile widened. He was wearing nothing but a towel around his waists and drying his messed up hair with the other towel in his hands.Sarina felt the unbarrable urge to run up to him and kiss him. There were still drops of water drippng from and dow his strong musles, his muscular arms, the handsome features of his face, down his cleanly shaved chin. She hardly held herself back.

Darien smiled at Sarina noticing she was looking at him in perticular interest."Sarina you can go take a shower now."He didn't let his handsome smile fade for a moment as he watched her haistly pick up a bunch of pink things that his eyes didn't feel like telling apart and some shoes.

"I'll be right back Darien." She said running out of the room.

To Darien it seemed that it took her forever to get out of the shower, every second just dragged on and on without her. Darien desided to get dressed. He threw the towel from his half wet hair. He reached into his drawr and put o a pair of boxers, his usual black ones, then he threw the towel that used to be around his waists into the loundry basket. Just as he was about to go to his closet to pick out something to wear, the door of his room slowely opened and he watched a blond goddess with beautifly curled hair that reached her elbows come into the room. She was wearing a pink dress, heal shoes and light make up. She looked so stunning, he just wanted to kiss her right there, he wanted to be with her so that he could tell everyone she was his.

Sarina smiled, she couldn't help but love the expression on Darien's face. He couldn't hide the fact that he wanted her from his face.

"Let me,"said Sarina smiling still as she walked to his closet and rimiged carefully through his clothes. Her back was to him, he just wanted to pull her close to him and kiss the side of her neck with butterfly kissed and never let her out of his arms. Sarina found a nice dress shirt with white and blue stripes. She handed it to Darien not even waisting time to tell him to put it on, she knew he would. Darien put on the shirt and watched Sarina look through his jeans. She found the most unworn out looking one and handed it to him. He pulled on the jeans. She watched him with a carefull eye. "Darien, come here,"she said in a lightly weary voice. She fixed up the color of his shirt, unbottoned the first three bottons, including the top one that she could see was choking him. She fixed the sleeves on his wrists and looked him up and down. She threw a pair of black socks at him from the closet's top shelf, then took out a pair of clean, white snekers. Darien put the socks and the snekers on, then Sarina looked him up and down again, with a satisfactory smile on her face.

"Happy?" Darien asked, he couldn't help but smile.

"A smile, much better,"Sarina turned to walk out the door, Darien fallowed a few steps behind her. She turned her head and said"by the way I am happy." That remark was met by Darien's enoyed glance, but Sarina just smiled.

They walked down stairs, food was ou for them, even though it was way past braikfast, around 11 am now. I note lay in the middle of the table. Sarina read it out loud as she and Darien set down.

" 'Morning Sarina, I sumed you'd be the one reading this, since

Darien never had much intrest for notes. Morning to you too Darien.

Your braikfast should still be hot, I went to the store for groseries and house

hold things, like I usually do on the weekends. I'm walking there and it looks

like a very nice day, so you kids can take the car, the keys are in the little dish by the door.

Bye

Mom.'

"Your mom has pretty hand writing, Darien." Said Sarina putting the note where it was before. Their braikfast was hot even though it should have been called lunch, in was after twelve already.
