Chapter 1: It's harder than you think!

" Goodbye forever... Shadow the Hedgehog..."

These words had brought the jet black and crimson hedgehog missery.

He sighed, as he walked into the Main room of the ARK.

He logged onto the old Journal program.

'Day 24

No matter how hard I try, I can't escape my Damned past. Especially they last few days when Maria Died...

But it is only Day 24, so I just need to--'

His 'article' was interupted by an alarm going off.

" WARNING WARNING! SHIP DOCKED IN THE DOCKING RANGE. PASSENGERS PROCEDING TO MAIN ROOM."

Shadow turned, and say a platform rising, to see none other than:

" S--SOnic?"

"Hey there! Shadow old buddy!" The blue hedgehog grabbed him, and put his arm around him, quickly snapping a piture and looking at it. " Ah.. that's a keeper!"

Amy sighed. " We shouldn't of gotten him that digital camera..." She said.

" What are you guys doing here?" Shadow said, not losing his cool. " I'm trying to let go of my past, and it's kinda hard to do, with my ast hangin around up here!"

Sonic looked hurt. " Aww... COme on Shad, we're your Present!"

Shadow was silent.

Shadow and Sonic Stared each other down, having a conversation with their eyes.

Finally, Shadow sighed. " I guess you're right..." He said. " I'll go back to Earth with you guys..."

Sonic Smirked. " Hah hah! I BEAT you Down!" He said, emphasizing his point.

Shadow narrowed his eyes, causing him to shut up.

" Well... Let's GO!"

---In the Tornado SP

Everyone sat in the main room, silently.

Until, that is, Sonic piped up. " Well Amy, now's the perfect tiome for your plan, are ya gonna do it or not?"

Shadow raised his brow, wondering what this ' Plan' was.

" S--S--Sonic!" Amy said, blushing rapidly. " D---D----Don't tell everyone!"

Knuckles nudged her in the side. " Come on Amy!"

" Guys! Stop!"

" That's enough!" Shadow said, having seen enough.

They both scoffed.

" Aw come on, lay off Shadow!" Sonic said. " We're just playing, right Ames?"

" It's obvious something's making her uncomfortable, and you guys aren't helping!"

They both muttered, and Amy said, " Thank you Shadow..."

Shadow simply said: " Don't think I'll make it a habit..."

" Docking into the Workshop... NOW!" Came Tails' voice over the intercom.

"Ah!" Sonic Said. " Home sweet Home!"

They all jumped out, uinto the Workshop, Shadow coming last.

" Well, SHadow," Tails said. " I'll go prep the guest room--"

"No." Shadow simply said.

"Wh--What?" Tails said, suprised Shadow had turned them down.

" I'll be staying with Amy.."

She perked up.

" I mean, if it's fine with her..."

"Y--Yes! Is fine with me!" The pink hedgehog said, surprised.

Sonic and KNuckles Chuckled, until Shadow Chaos Controlled Behind them, whacked em both in the back of the Head, and was suddenlly back by Amy.

" Well, Amy... Shall we?" He asked.

: Y--Yes, Of Course!"

Shadow grabbed his CHaos Emerald, and with a cry of " Chaos Control!" He was gone.

" Come on Knuckles!" Sonic said. " Let's go watch the survielence camera!"

Sonic: What's Wrong with him?

Shadow: He had a buncha bad Shrimp last night.

Sonic: O.O

Sonto:I AM GOD!
