Title: No Words

Author: Kirsten

Summary: Jack and Sue's wedding day.

Author's Notes: I haven't written a fic in so long. Anyway, I was watching Cold Case and watched Jack and Sue dancing at the end. It inspired me to write this. There's a little cross-over with JAG, cuz I love combing my two of my favorite shows. You don't need to watch JAG to understand the story. The song is by Alison Kraus and Union Station, When You Say Nothing at All. It's an amazing song! Enjoy! And please review!

Sue Thomas Hudson sat at the head table, her hearing dog, Levi, at her feet. Today was her wedding day. She had finally married the love of her life, Jack Hudson. After searching for most of her life for acceptance, she had finally found it.

Looking around, she saw Bobby dancing with Petty Officer Jennifer Coates. Jen was laughing at something Bobby had said but she couldn't catch it. D was dancing with his wife and his kids were running around, having a good time with some of Jack's nieces and nephews. Tara was dancing with Stanley, looking very happy to have him there. Her childhood friend Sarah was dancing with her fiancé Harm and his daughter, Mattie, was dancing with her date. It had taken Sarah and Harm a long time to get together, even long than it had taken she and Jack. And of course, Lucy, her former roommate and best friend. Lucy had met a wonderful man named Ray, a doctor.

Speaking of her husband; boy, did that sound wonderful, Sue didn't see him. She then felt a soft hand on her shoulder. Turning around, she saw the face of her husband, Jack.

Jack looked down at the beautiful face of his wife. She always looked beautiful but today she looked even more gorgeous. There was a special sparkle in her eyes.

"Would you like to dance?" he signed.

"Jack, you know that I can't hear the music."

"I know. We've danced before. C'mon, Mrs. Hudson." He said, taking her hand and pulling her up.

As Sue and Jack made their way towards the dance floor, the dance floor cleared. Sue looked around and smiled at everyone as Jack led her out onto the dance floor.

Sue couldn't hear the music but Jack could. He'd picked this song especially for a reason and then had worked hard to learn how to sign it.

It's amazing how you speak right to my heart

Without saying a word, you can light up the dark.

Try as I may I could never explain

What I hear when you don't a say thing

Jack pulled Sue close to him and started to move with the music. They were a perfect fit. Jack starts to dance to the beat of the music and Sue follows.

No words are needed to describe the way that Sue felt at this moment, dancing in her husband's arms. Just by looking in his eyes, she realized that she had finally found someone who accepted her for who she was.

And it didn't take any words.
