How do you measure a year in the life?

o

Ryou:

He has always measured his years in rainfalls.

In London, when he was younger, it rained nearly every day. He would sit in his window and stare out at heaven's tears. When his parents weren't around he would go outside and revel in the feeling of becoming totally soaked.

In Japan it doesn't rain as often, but when it does, it brings good memories.

On those gray days he will pull his yami outside. Bakura will stand there and scowl for a minute, but then Ryou kisses him and together they let go of everything to dance in the rain.

o

Malik:

He has learned to measure his years in sunrises.

He will never take the sun's light for granted. As a child there was only the darkness of the tombs, as the flickering torchlight did little to dispel it. It haunted his dreams.

The only darkness he has ever learned to love is the one created by his mind.

Every morning he will wake early and escape to the roof so he can watch the sun rise and bring light to Japan. Soon his darkness will join him and together they will sit and watch the beginning of a new day.

o

Yuugi:

He is beginning to see that years are not always measured in minutes.

He has seen that Ryou's calendar has next week's weather forecasts. The days with rain are highlighted.

He has seen Malik draw pictures of a sunrise from the point of view of one who watches it every morning.

He thinks that maybe time is overrated. He thinks he could measure his years in kisses – cheek kisses from Anzu; forehead kisses from Grandpa; slow, passionate kisses from Yami.

In the middle of one of those slow, passionate kisses, Yuugi knows that this is how years should be measured.

Words: 300

Each section is exactly one hundred words! Yay!

Anyways, all I have to say for myself is that I got the Rent soundtrack. I'm addicted.

If you read, please review.
