Daine stood in the palace gardens surrounded by the palace animals, glad to once again be home. She couldn't deny the fact that she love traveling, but to be away for over a year was just too much. To be away from her family of people and People, was just too much.

"No hello for me magelet?" A familiar voice questioned from behind her.

Daine blushed and making excuses to the animals around her, she turned to face the person she had missed the most.

"Hello Numair," she replied softly, not meeting his eyes.

There was an awkward silence as the two remembered the last time they had been together and the hateful words that had passed between them.

"You're just going on this trip to avoid the question Daine." Numair spat angrily, as the mentioned woman finished packing and closed her pack, back towards the irate mage.

"Numair, that is not the reason, I swear, yes, I do need time to think about it, but the reason I'm going on this is something that I need to do, no reason other that I want to travel. It has nothing to do with what you asked me last night."

The fight had ended badly, but with Alanna's help with speaking spells on the journey Numair and Daine had made up and come to the agreement that Daine would get Alanna's help when she decided on her answer to the mage's question. Unfortunately, Alanna had been called back to Corus on official business and so Daine and Numair had been left without communication for the remainder of Daine's trip.

The couple spent a few moments taking in the sight of each other before the wildmage launched herself into the taller man's awaiting arms. From within the protective encirclement of Numair's arms, Daine looked up into his eyes. Slowly a smile spread across her face and she nodded, ever so slightly.

But that was enough for the mage.

Picking her up, he spun her around in the most undignified was before bringing her close for a kiss, soft and sweet.

Pulling apart slowly and reluctantly, Numair disentangled one of his hand from Daine's mussed hair and reached into his pocket.

He withdrew a simple gold band and slipped it on her hand before leaning down an capturing his fiancée's, the soon to be Daine Salmalin, lips in a passionate kiss.
