Challenge: Usagi ends up at Hikawa shrine for a meeting, but no one is there, though she's on time on the right day. What happened?
Word Limit: 40- 200 words. No more, no less.
Bonuses: Make it a comedy and not that the senshi had a distress call, and I'll love you for your originality.
Late Arrival -
Usagi made her way hurriedly to the Hikawa Shrine. She was going to surprise the girls by being on time for once. With a giant smile she made her way up the stairs only to stop in surprise. The door stood wide open and solitude reigned over the place. Calling out cheerily she waited for a reply.
"Girls I'm here." Silence was her only answer as she puzzled why no one was there. From behind her suddenly she heard pounding feet and huffing. Turning around she was surprised to see Minako and Rei come tumbling up the stairs. Stopping both girls bent over panting.
"Look who's late, and where were you, and where are Ami and Makoto?" Usagi tried to sound as reproachful as Luna would.
"Ami," Rei spat out.
"Cram school," Minako spewed helpfully.
"Virus, crying," Rei continued.
Makoto, comfort," Minako finished on a gasp. The two girls stood still trying to catch their breath as Usagi crowed.
"I was here before everyone; I was here before every one." Grinning madly she hugged the two shocked girls. "It's all right I understand. I know how life can be."
