Chapter 1

Silence. The night was dark and a light rain fell, yet the great full moon could be seen shining brightly through the grey clouds playing hide-and-seek with the earth and its inhabitants. All was calm and quiet on the darkened city streets, save one disturbance. Down an alley two figures stood separated by about a yard both glaring in the other's direction. One stood slightly hunched over a wild hungry look in its red eyes, panting and giving slight rumbling growls. Lying by its feet was a human girl her pale bloodless face staring up into the sky, her white shirt ripped and covered in blood. She had no pulse. With a mad howl the creature ran towards the other figure driven by an animalistic, primal hunger. Without showing one sign of fear or intimidation the figure bent one knee and lunged toward the advancing creature. With the ease of a knife through butter the opposing thrust his hand and forearm through the monster's chest stopping it dead in its tracks. The creature gave one last scream of pain and was reduced to ash which blew away in the gentle breeze.

"Target silenced" said the dark figure standing straight and adjusting his glove. He smiled up at the ghostly looking moon revealing two pearly white fangs. The Nosferatu turned and walked back up the alley his heavy black boots clapping against the pavement, and his red leather trench coat swishing almost silently around his body. He turned and walked up the sidewalk his raven black hair sticking to his blank white skin from the rain and annoyingly finding its way into his blood red eyes.

"Alucard, your mission has been completed. Report to my office immediately." He heard the instructions as clearly as though his master were standing right next to him. He could tell from Integra's voice that there was something that had gone awry back at the mansion. I leave for half an hour and she's lost control already he chuckled to himself. But deep in his mind he knew he was joking. Integra was one of the strongest humans he knew and given this-and the fact that she was his master-he could never speak ill of her.

He stopped walking under a streetlamp and with one last glance into the darkened sky, faded to nothingness.

Moments later Alucard fazed through the wall into Integra's office to make report of his mission. The short white-blonde woman stood and smoothed out her olive green suit. A habit Alucard recognized as a stalling agent. He swept the room with his eyes and noticed someone he didn't recognize standing in front of Integra's desk next to Walter and giving him occasional glances. She was pale skinned with blood red eyes and matching lips. A vampire…Alucard thought. She was shorter than Alucard (as most people are) and her messy black hair fell just below her shoulders. She wore a form fitted black trench coat with a dark red seal similar to Alucard's on the back. She too is someone's pet…but her aura felt freer than that… She turned more towards him noticing his scrutinizing look. He took note of the two guns in a holster slung on her hips and two knives in the compartments on her boots. There was a small copper replica of the seal on an amulet around her neck. That seal…it's so familiar… Alucard smiled at the vampiress.

"Hello Lillith. How is my little sister?"
