A pair of lovers are reunited after being seperated when one sailed west.
Author's Note: This can be a stand alone or it can complete my poem triology, along with "Gone" and "My Journey Home".
Disclaimer: The creation and ideologies are all Tolkien and I own nothing.
The Wait
He stood there for ages,
on sandy shores that held no sway,
never moving, never stopping
his watch for her.
And He waits.
She stands here for years,
the gentle rocking lulling her into a trance,
never moving, never stopping
her watch for him.
And She waits
They stood until time itself stood still,
an ocean of loneliness and longing between them,
never moving, never stopping
their watch for love.
And They wait.
Now that they're reunited,
they stand together,
in a warm embrace,
never moving, never stopping.
Their watch is over
and they will never wait again.
