Chapter 1: On the T.A.R.D.I.S.
"Hang on… what's this?" The 10th Doctor sat at a computer screen viewing old files that the previous doctors had uploaded. "That's interesting" he said as he zoomed in on a map "Oi Jack come and have a look at this" The American man sauntered over and looked at the screen. "That wasn't there before" he said as he pointed to a small country on the screen "Well" said the Doctor as he stood up and grinned "We're going hunting" "That's more like it" Jack grinned "ever since Rose Tyler decided to go back to Mickey and her mum you've been sulking around here like it was the end of the world." The Doctor stiffened then relaxed. "I knew she wouldn't stay for long," he sighed, "just another stupid ape." Jack smiled weakly and patted him on the shoulder, "come on let's find you an assistant!" The two men grinned as the TARDIS hummed into life and flashed out of existence as if it had never been there.
Ok the whole idea of this chapter was that Jack was telling the Doctor to get over Rose.
We don't know if Jack comes back in the new series but for this story he does.
Captain Jack Harkness: The last time I was sentenced to death, I ordered four hyper-vodkas for my breakfast. All a bit of a blur after that... I woke up in bed with both of my executioners. Lovely couple, they stayed in touch! Can't say that about most executioners.
