Thimbles

Author's Note: Exactly 100 words. It is what it is… a drabble.

Wendy Moira Angela Darling had an extensive collection of thimbles. Red thimbles and yellow thimbles, sewing thimbles and thimbles that were meant for nothing more than decoration, thimbles that were too small for her thumbs, and thimbles that were much too big. But, she kept every one. They sat carefully placed in little rows marching up and down the edges of bookcases, and when the bookcases became full, they made their way onto the bedposts and the window seat and sometimes the floor.
People didn't always understand, but Wendy just smiled, because she knew if she didn't, she would cry.
