Never Look Back

(Told in Jinx's POV)
I woke up again, with you on my mind
Finally realizing, the clue you'd want me to find
I tell my friends, upset and swayed
I tell them, to forgive me, as I cannot stay
The darkness has fallen and I'm all tears
To leave these friends of so many years
But what is right, and what is wrong?
It's my life's rhapsody, it's fatal song
And I bear that look again across my face
Deliberately walking at a snail's pace
How could someone, be so kind
To this shrouded, black heart of mine?
I stand alone, out in this cruel world
But, could it be, that by him, a new feeling unfurled?
A single red rose was all that left for me
To hold our brief; sweet memories
But what is it he was searching for?
For in me, he saw something more
But what he saw, I'll never know
A rose was my hint
To guide me through my shaded mind
But I'd be, my five true friends, I'd leave behind
What price's to be paid to truly be free
But for us, it just wasn't meant to be
A love forbidden, a heart chained down
Why my life turned out this way, to me, is still unsound.
I'm all alone, now.
Alone once again, tell me please
When? When will this suffering end?
And without a goodbye
Not one farewell, you left me this rose
And my soul, in all hell.
You left me in the dark
In the dark all alone
To become vulnerable, and emotion prone
A red rose is all you left
Before speeding by
I pray to God, that your dream will die
As you leave me always before I wake
With my own midnight path to take
But that's life's harsh lesson
That you'll have to learn someday
And it's from this that you can never turn away
As I leave my home, and go to pack
By this rose I learned
To never look back.
