A/N: This fic was inspired by Masako Moonshade, who suggested writing a canon character's party in 115 words or less. I was also inspired by the season finale of Avatar, during which I decided that Zhao bears an uncanny resemblance to a primate. Read on:
Zhao, the proudest six- year- old in the entire Fire Nation, felt his eyes go wide at the sight of the birthday cake.
It was the prettiest thing he had ever seen. Everyone oohed and aahed over the cake and its special recipient.
Zhao saw that his best friend, Ozai, was pouting due to lack of attention. Zhao prodded him ungraciously with a fork. "You gotta be happy," he whined. "It's my birthday!"
Ozai stuck out his tongue and raised his voice in song. "Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! You look like a monkey, and you smell like one too!"
The hall went quiet as Zhao stared at his friend.
"Excuse me?"
