Windyfontaine: Yeah, well...Dean was worried about Sam. But you're right about the tapes. Yeah, it does look good, huh? I'll try.

Charmedsupernaturalfan: Thanks.

Nate And Jake: Thanks. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Haven't decided yet.

Bessie: First, I think I misspelled your handle last time. Sorry. Second, I'm glad I was able to make going through dial-up worth it.

Spuffyshipper: Thanks. I will. Well, as soon as you're allowed to post on-line, I'll have plenty of interesting stories to read.

A few days later, Sam and Dean reached Dallas, Texas. Much to Dean's relief, Sam hadn't gotten a call from that freak again. He looked at his brother, who was currently sleeping. Dean blew out a breath and glanced at the newspaper they had bought at the Texas\Oklahoma border. There was the usual news: robberies, muggings, deaths, etc. But the tale that had caught their attention was the top story. Inside was a thirteen-year old girl's tale of being attacked by a large dog. Only thing was, she said it had looked like a small man. Dean didn't know what to think. It sounded like a werewolf, but they were usually larger than described by the kid. Just then, Sam jerked his head to the side with a moan. Dean bit back a sigh. Great. He's having another one of his nightmares, he thought with annoyance. It wasn't that Sam was having nightmares that bothered Dean, but that they had gotten worse ever since the Asylum. Sam jerked his head again.

"Jess," he murmured. Dean reached over and smacked his brother. The younger boy muttered and opened his eyes.

"What'd you hit me for?" he grumped.

"You were starting to have one of your nightmares again," Dean answered. "You know, they keep up, you'll give yourself whiplash," he continued. Sam glared.

"We here?" he asked.

"Yeah," came the answer.

"We gonna see if we can find the girl so we can talk to her?" Sam wondered.

"That'd be the best place to start," Dean replied. Sam scanned the article.

"Okay, it doesn't give the daughter's name---privacy reasons---, but it does state the mom's name. A Tracy Jones," he stated.

"It give an address?" Dean asked.

"Surprisingly, yeah," Sam answered. "218 Province Way," he continued.

"All right, then. Let's go," Dean said. With that, he drove through town, only having to stop to ask directions a couple of times. Finally, they reached the residence. Dean knocked on the door, which was opened to reveal a redheaded woman.

"Can I help you?" she asked.

"Are you Tracy Jones?" Dean queried.

"Yes. How can I help you?" the woman responded.

"I'm Dean and this is Sam. We're with animal control and we're looking into the dog attack on your daughter," Dean stated.

"Uh, please. Come in," Mrs. Jones answered, ushering the two inside.

"Now, it said in the article that the dog came out of nowhere?" Sam queried.

"Yeah. We were just playin' in the park and BAM---it just lunged! My husband barely had time to get Maria out of the way. It scratched him pretty bad," Tracy stated.

"Mom?" a voice asked. The trio turned around to see a thirteen-year old girl with red hair.

"Maria, what is it? Are you okay?" Tracy asked in concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine. What's going on?" Maria wondered.

"Nothin' major. Just talkin' with these two gentlemen here about the dog attack," her mother answered.

"It wasn't a dog attack! It was like a small man! Like a---a---teenager covered in fur!" Maria burst out. Tracy threw them an embarrassed smile.

"I'm sorry. The whole thing was very tramautic for her. I'm afraid she saw something that wasn't there," she told them.

"I wasn't seeing things, Mom! I wish you'd stop treating me like I'm three!" Maria burst out. She ran back upstairs.

"I'm sorry. This whole thing---" Tracy began.

"We understand," Sam interrupted. "Another time perhaps?" he asked.

"I think that'd be best," Tracy agreed. The two left the house.

"Well, that was a bust," Dean stated.

"No, not entirely," Sam disagreed. "I mean, she did tell us that it was a teenager," he reminded.

"Narrows it down some, but not much," Dean agreed. As they walked off, Sam's cellphone rang. Sam and Dean stared at each other.

"You gonna answer that?" Dean wondered. Sam didn't answer, but averted his gaze. "What if it's Dad?" Dean reminded him. With a sigh and a roll of his eyes, Sam picked up his phone and pressed the talk button.

"Hello?" he asked.

"Sam?" a girl's voice queried.

"Kelly!" Sam exclaimed happily. Ah, great. Another one of his college friends, Dean thought with his own eye roll. However, he was relieved it wasn't that weird freak again. "Hey, what's up, girl?" he wondered.

"Well, I was lookin' through Jess' things the other day and I found somethin' that I thought she'd like you to have," Kelly answered. Sam stopped.
