Supernatural belongs to the WB. I only own Nick and Kelly.
Meanwhile, in the hotel room they had rented, Sam was busy pouring over every known werewolf legend he could find. His brows furrowed in concentration. Dean looked up from his own search.
"Hey, find anything?" he asked. Sam was so engrossed in his search that he didn't hear the question. "Yo, Sammy," Dean said. When he still didn't receive an answer, he whistled and waved a hand in front of his brother's face. The younger boy reacted in surprise. "Find anything?" the older man asked again.
"Oh, besides more werewolf legends than I can count?" came the response. He frowned in thought.
"What?" Dean asked.
"Could I see the paper again?" Sam requested.
"Uh...sure," Dean agreed, turning back to the mess. He sifted through some of the articles. "If I can find it," he muttered. Then, a few minutes later, "Ah! Here it is!" He handed the paper to his brother. Sam skimmed through the article.
"Dude, what you lookin' for?" Dean wondered. Sam muttered to himself. Then, "Here we go."
"What?" Dean asked.
"'A thirteen-year old girl reports being attacked by a strange dog. The young girl claims that the dog was actually like a human'," Sam read.
"Yeah. We know this. What's your point?" Dean asked. Sam threw him a look, then went on to read another paragraph. "'The dog-man was scratching my daddy up real bad. Suddenly, it was if it realized what it was doing and ran off'." Sam and Dean stared at each other with sudden realization.
"Didn't Dad say that there were some werewolves who could actually control their change at will and be conscious of what they're doing?" Sam asked.
"Yeah. He said that they usually learned how to control it and actually caused no harm," Dean added.
"Kinda like Michael J. Fox in Teen Wolf," Sam mused. Dean stared in surprise. "What?" the younger Winchester asked. "Dean, you're not the only one who watches t.v.," he continued.
"So what we need to do is figure out who our little wolf-boy is and help him understand what's happening to him," Dean realized.
"Let's go talk to the locals," Sam said. With that, they left the hotel, got into the Impala, and headed into town.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
I don't know if "dog-man" or "wolf-boy" are a reference to anything. If so, it's unintentional and not mine.
