The clock in Casey's office is five minutes slow, so she always thinks I'm early. I'm not sure if she knows her clock is just slow.
Because I'm early, I always get to watch her finish up whatever she was working on when I happened to walk in. And, without fail, every time, I open her door and she looks up and says, "Hey, John. You're early." Sometimes, she says 'Detective' or 'Munch', or even 'Detective Munch'.
And because her clock is always slow, I always get to stay later.
I don't mind.
Because, in a way, I'm closer to her.
