A/n: this is based off of a poem I wrote the other day….i hope you like it. 

"James Harry Potter!" Lily Evans screamed through the night.

"Yes?" he answered with the famous Potter grin.

Lily just looked at him and rolled her eyes. She didn't want to wake all of the castle just for his sake.

That one faithful night

He grinned wider as she replied, "We aren't supposed to be out right now, you idiot! We're the Heads! And, it's after curfew."

"Aww, but Lily. It's fun."

"No. It's eleven at night."

I fell in love.

"Okay, fine." James gave in.

Lily nodded her head but didn't go back to the castle. Instead she struck up a conversation with him.

"The night is beautiful now, James."

James nodded, looking up at the stars.

Lily shivered and James took off his jacket.

"Here, Lily." He said, handing the jacket to her.

"No, you use it. It's okay." Lily replied.

"No. I'm not cold. Here, take it. Use it. You need it more than I do."

He draped the jacket over her shoulders and she pulled her arms through the sleeves. She shivered again, but not from the cold.

James sat down and Lily followed suit. She scooted close to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. He draped his arm around her waist and smiled at her, his hazel eyes lighting up.

In love with your eyes, your smile

She looked up at him and smiled. She wasn't sure why she was trusting him, leaning against him and using his jacket but, for the moment, it felt right.

"I don't know why the bloody hell I'm doing this." Lily muttered.

James let out a very small laugh and tucked a strand of stray red hair behind her ear. She shivered again.

"Are you okay?" he asked, worried.

"Yeah. I'm okay." Lily replied.

Your laugh and your hear.t

They sat in silence for a while, not talking but enjoying each other's company in the chilly night air.

Lily smiled to herself.

I never told you, but you're the reason.

The reason I'm still here, still alive, the reason I don't hate my life.

James just sat there, thoughts floating around his head. He couldn't believe Lily was sitting with him like this.

You're all I have, all I love.

Lily tried to get away but her heart told her she shouldn't. She didn't want to move, didn't want to be anywhere but right there with James.

I didn't mean to fall in love.

She sighed and he looked at her and smiled. She was beautiful to him, the most beautiful thing in the world.

But I did.

She looked at him and they leaned in to each other. Their lips met in a soft kiss before they broke apart.

"I love you, Lily."

She smiled. "I love you too, James."

They kissed again, a little rougher this time. They broke off, smiling at each other. She sighed and once again, leaned her head on his shoulder. He kissed her head and wrapped his other arm around her.

I'm accidentally in love with you.
