hello. havn't written anything in a while and so i just want to write a short little fic, so here it is. oh by the way, this is in Naruto's pov. please enjoy!

Whenever we're training, all I dream about is free time… actually having time to be bored, and just lye around like this. I open my eyes and shade them from the sun, squinting automatically. The heat and slight breeze of this summer afternoon making me feel particularly lazy, but… content all the same.
I stretch and my movement scares away a few butterflies who must have been resting on the tall grass that surrounds me. As I watch them flutter away against the blue sky I realize that I have a big smile on my face. I don't know why, but right now… I feel like I could just stay like this forever.
I turn my head to the side and pull a few green blades out of the way to look at Sasuke. His eyes are closed and his face is slightly tilted in my direction… he looks so… peaceful when he's asleep. He looks calm and relaxed, but not in that practiced way he is in front of others… just truly relaxed. I roll onto my side and sit up a little, resting on my arm before I carefully reach over to brush some of his bangs out of his face.
He's so pale… even after lying out here in the sun with me all day. I lye back on my back with my arms behind my head and I hear him move. He sits up and yawns, blinks a few times and looks down at me. He looks like he's about to say something when his head darts in another direction and he appears to be either listening to something or watching something.
"What is it?" I ask, sitting up, but my question is answered with a 'Shhh.' and a push back down as he ducks back down as well. I open my mouth to ask again and then I hear her. Sakura.
"Sasuke? …Sasuke?" She's walking around about ten feet from us and I clasp my hands over my mouth trying to muffle my giggle.
"NARUTO! I hear you!" Crap. I burst out laughing and Sasuke is laughing too. I jump up, running in the direction of Kakashi sensei's house.
"Na-ru-to!" She yells in an angered tone, coming after us.
We run faster and I gasp for breath as I am laughing to hard to be running at the same time. I look over at Sasuke and he smiles at me, and I hear Sakura behind us still yelling, and I smile… because I know exactly why... I feel like I could stay just like this forever.
