Everything happened so fast.
…That day fate was ever so cruel.
He remember it happening – so vividly as clear as day.
He remembered the terrified screams echoing as treacherous vines snagged the castle walls. By the time the servants realized what was happening it was already too late to react, for seconds later their bodies were entwined and entangled by the unforgiving cursed plants, lured into an eternal slumber of sadness and fear.
The clouds had started to grow black, chasing out the comfort of an azure sky and even the wildlife had seemed to flee. Some of the castle walls started to succumb from the immense might of the vines, but not enough to bring the whole colossal palace down.
Running up the stairs up to the higher balcony of the castle, he remembered turning on his heels to look up and watched helplessly as all this happened – the anguish and guilt that he couldn't do anything; the confusion and wonder from such a terrible historic moment.
The vines were starting to get closer to him, and he withdrew his sword to fend off the vines that had attempted to tackle him – however, totally overpowering him as he was thrown off his feet, rolling down the stairs painfully and landed hard onto his chest with his sword flying out of his reach.
He remembered breathing hard, rasping for air; he remembered trying to fight off the darkness tempting his mind to submit.
But above all, he remembered that uncontained loathing, insane malicious laugh that ringed in his ears; a laugh that he bore in mind promising himself that he would personally put a silence to before he was welcomed to the darkness with open arms.
Yeah I know, really short. Meant to be a prologue; the next should be long. Also, keep in mind I will be changing some things around, but nothing too severe. I'm still sticking to the original story, only with Hero actually talking and doing stuff. And for those who haven't played the game; definitely some spoilers ahead. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.
