This little drabble is dedicated to StarlightPhoenix, my good friend.
Yeah
Memories:
Evil laughter resonates in his mind. / Teardrops slide from auburn eyes and seem to drown their owner. / Red-tinted goggles shield eyes clouded with anger. / Screams of pain and cries of battle shatter cold air. / Restless nights of sleep fade into strenuous days of training. / Droplets of blood seep from fresh abrasions. / Snowflakes drift to the ground, just out of reach on the other side of grimy glass.
Lots of pain, lots of sorrow….
"Kai?"
One voice, mellow and concerned, tears through it all. Kai blinks and pulls himself back to the present, gazing into the bright eyes of Tyson.
"Yeah?"
"You okay?"
And Kai smiles, because he knows he is. Now. There is no more of that pain and dishonesty and dejection of the past—it's all crumpled and torn and tossed into thewastebasket by his friends, because they really care. Though Kai can't even begin to express this...so he'll just have to put all his feeling into one simple word.
"Yeah."
And it does have a lot of feeling, Tyson knows. His friendship connection to Kai tells him so, the way only it can.
A/N: Yo, peeps. Howz it hanging? Yes, it's very short but it was written with my pal in mind, to help cheer her up. Hope it worked! And I hope everyone enjoyed it.
