Yugi no Go
By Moonraker One
Author's Note: Akira Toya plays a game of Go with Yu-Gi-Oh. Go Terms: joseki- the shape of a go player's gameplay based on his or her moves
They sat at the table
The pharaoh and he
Young Akira Toya
A Go prodigy
Akira said "Let me warn you"
"You see, I am a pro"
The pharaoh unimpressed
"That fact I know."
"My young go player,"
The pharaoh did say,
"I am the king,"
"Of games in every way."
So the game started even
With no handicap
For the mighty pharaoh
Who sat weary of traps
The game started smoothly
Go stones going CLACK!
Thirty moves into gameplay
Akira, on the attack!
The pharaoh sat still
Hard as a stone
Against the oncoming melee
As if still on his throne
"Do not think you have won,"
he said once again,
"Sooner or later my plan
will take you and then…"
Akira said nothing,
Merely kept up his game,
Although it seemed his joseki
Might be going lame
'Twas close to the end
Pharaoh starting to make
His final try to win
All his skills it would take
Soon it would seem
That Akira would lose
Despite all his skill
Difficult choice he must choose
However luck called his name
Fate seemed to fall in line
Several moves in his favor
Well, crud, it's about time!
The final move of that game
Akira connected two joints
Of his joseki then cried,
"That destroys your life points!"
