"Meredith, I need to give you a quick blood test," Derek says, grabbing her arm lightly and pulling her into a nearby patient's room.

She squints her eyes and stares at him.

"Why?" she asks, her forehead wrinkling in confusion.

"You…y-you might have Alzheimer's," he says quietly, closing and locking the door behind them.

Her eyes widen but she tries to keep her emotion to herself. "Oh," is all she can say.

"It will just take a second," he tells her, trying to comfort her in some way.

"Oh, alright," she says, trying to act as calm as possible. Meredith sits down in a chair as Derek pulls one up next to her. And suddenly, the thought of her having Alzheimer's is erased from her mind.

Derek gently sticks the small needle into her arm.

A smile forms on his face as he looks down on her. But his smile fades and his heart stops as he notices how close they are to each other. His breathing becomes more rapid as his eyes are fixed on hers. They don't move, don't speak, don't do anything.

And his instincts get the best of him as he starts leaning in closer.

And their lips meet with such force they don't know what hit them.

And everything falls back into place.

Yeah, I know that was pointless and short. But that's exactly what I think is going to happen in the next eppy. Hehe. :-D

My hopes are really high for Derek and Meredith. I know they shouldn't, but they are.

But I mean come on, HOW FREAKING LONG ARE THEY GOING TO KEEP TEASING US LIKE THIS?

I'm dying here.
