A boyfriend for Christmas.
A little boy about 9 years old with deep blue eyes walk in the mall,
his cousin wanted him to meet someone
-he is so cute wait till you see him-
the boy run exited but his spike hair stay still, Rukawa hold a yawn
then with sleepy eyes watch the whole decoration of all the
stores "everything seems so…festive" all those reindeers and red
flowers and Christmas trees was a little excessive but somehow he
felt a warm in his hearth and smile a little bit, Sendo who have had
run at who knows where now was returning to his side with a bright
smile in his face
-I found him-
he said
-he's in the hamburger and soda shop-
the boy just followed till they were in the famous hamburger place
-hi Kosh!-
the spike haired boy wave and the other boy's eyes lighten up but he
was still with his stoic face but when he saw Rukawa his eyes show
anger
-¿who is him?-
he ask serious, Sendo smile not noticing the change in the attitude
of Koshino and point at Kaede
-he's my cousin Rukawa-
he answered and the anger on Koshino's eyes suddenly disappear and
shake hand very formally with the boy
-nice to meet you-
-nice to meet you too-
the boys keep looking at each other trying to know each other until
they believe that they can trust each other and a loud voice said
-hey I want to go and talk to Santa-
with a sweet face Sendo ask the other boys, Koshino smile a little
and Rukawa just nodded
-what would you ask for this Christmas Sendo?-
ask Koshino in a whisper the other boy look at him and the Hiroaki
just blush
-it's a secret-
said with a grin, Rukawa that was behind them saw the expression in
the two boys faces and frown, on that instant he realized that there
was a part of life that he was missing, nothing could fill the
emptiness in his hearth, he felt some kind of sad, of yearning, of
something that he can't really have, he yearn of love
-look! there he is!-
Rukawa look at the place where his cousin was pointing at but before
he saw the classic Santa Claus that every year was in the same place
in the golden chair ready for him, his sight was caught by the boy
that was about 9 year old like him but that carried a bright red
hair, he couldn't keep his sight away from him, he hold his breath
as long as he could survive with that amount of air but when he
breath again he deeply sigh
-Rukawa?… Rukawa?…-
the boy look at his cousin who was talking to him
-¿are you going to ask something to Santa?-
the boy suddenly found himself thinking about it, then he felt that
there was only one thing that he can ask for a Christmas present, he
saw his cousin and Koshino and immediately knew what he wanted but
when he was about to reach the spot where Santa was he bump into the
redheaded
-aaww watch your step-
-I'm sorry-
he answer then the big chocolate brown eyes look at him
-waw you have Kitsune eyes-
he said with a smile, Kaede frowned
-Do'aho-
-¿what did you said? I'm a Tensai ¿you know?-
the proud boy said
-¿what¿where is the Tensai?-
another boy ask
-shut up Mitchy-
-hey we have to go Hana-
-oh yeah I remember now-
said the little boy with a smile then he turn around but before he
left he turned around one more time and said
-I hope to see you again Kitsune-
the blue eyes followed him and his hearth jumped in a strange
feeling
-hey Kaede!-
-¿what?-
the boy ask
-I've been talking to you for a long time I ask you if you were
going to ask Santa for anything-
-I will-
he said and walk towards the kind looking man with a red suit that
was sitting in a golden chair
-hi you little boy ¿do you want to ask something to Santa?-
-I…I oh forget it-
he was about to leave when the old man stopped him
-I know you want to ask something, don't be afraid there is always a
desire that lays deep beneath the surface of your hearth and that if
you ask for it, it may come true-
the little boy look deep in the mans eyes and nodded
-I want a boyfriend-
the men looked surprise a little bit but then he sweetly smile
-if that is what your hearth desires-
the boy nodded and then left.
The day of Christmas Kaede woke up earlier than usual he didn't know
if he really had believe what Santa told him but a small kind of
hope of what he would find under the Christmas tree was too high to
hide but when he enter the living room and only saw a little present
under the tree he was some kind of disappointed but he hurried
himself an opened the little package
-¿what's this?-
he ask out loud when he saw a little red monkey dress up like Santa
then he realize that there was a phrase write on the bottom
foot "when two hearths are ready the promise will be made" the
little boy frown, that seems like a long time to wait he didn't know
how he could ever believe in Santa his hearth feel like if had
shrank a little bit as the time went by he decided not to believe in
Santa or in love, he decided to hide all his emotions and to forget
that this had ever happened.
A long time after that, make that years, in Kanagawa it was almost
Christmas, in fact there was Christmas eve, but there was someone
who wanted so badly to simply forget that there was a season like
this
-¡Hey Rukawa!-
a smiley Sendo scream while running towards him
-hi-
was the only answered he could get
-I can't wait until Christmas!-
said the exited boy and Kaede frown "¿why did he have to remember
that there was a day called Christmas?" Akira didn't care to see the
expression in his cousin face and continue
-is the best season ever it's going to be great-
-you always say that-
-but this Christmas is going to be really special I have a good
feeling you're going to change your feeling about Christmas besides
I want you to meet someone and fall in love even if it's a girl but
you know what I think about it-
he wink at him, yeah he knew what his cousin thought about it
alright, ever since he had ten years old his cousin knew that he was
gay and ever since then he had been in love and every now or then he
told him that he knew he was also gay so there was nothing to be
afraid if he found a boy and wanted to….well he said some things he
didn't want to remember because he will blush
-I know-
he answer in a whisper
-¿why do you think Christmas is so special anyway?-
-you know why, it was Christmas when I told him if he wanted to be
my boyfriend and he said yes, it is our anniversary a very special
day for me-

was his only answer ¿why did he have to be that happy and had to be
so in love? it always made it to remember that he wasn't in love and
didn't wanted to remember the promise of a happy Christmas and a
gift that he always ask because he will felt the emptiness in his
hearth

Sendo continue didn't even care about the expression in his cousin
face
-I would ask Koshino to live with me-
-¿WHAAAT!-
said a surprised Rukawa
-yeah-
Sendo answered with a big smile
-¿isn't it great?-
the boy sure was daydreaming
-sure-
was the answer of Kaede while a sad look crossed his face
-by the way, we want you to come to eat with us this afternoon-
-¿where?-
-at the new restaurant where there is a Santa Claus that they said
is the real deal-
-¿when are you going to stop believing in that?-
-hey don't say anything bad about Santa who is a very magical person-
-I don't want to fight about it again Sendo-
-well but you're going ¿right?-
-sure-
nodded Rukawa knowing that his cousin wouldn't let him go until he
agreed to go with them, Sendo smile at his answer
-it's a date then, so we'll see you there at two-
said his cousin waving while he left, Rukawa sigh he close his eyes
and started walking, it was just natural to him walk this way
sleeping and managed not to hit anyone or anything so this wasn't
going to be the exception he was almost dreaming when he smell
chocolate, he never had smell it like this before and he wanted it
so bad than opening hi eyes follow the sweet smell, soon he found
himself in a chocolate store, a store that was only open for the
holidays when he reached the spot where the smell was just too
delicious to overlook he stop and look, then he saw a hint of red
hair and his hearth immediately jump to the sight but at soon as it
has appeared it was gone and a tall boy with brown skin, a huge
smile and a Santa Claus hat approach him
-¿how can I help you?-
he politely ask
-I… never mind-
-¿don't you want to buy some chocolate?-
he ask
-well..-
Rukawa saw his big chocolate brown eyes and felt his hearth melt
-ok, give me some-
he finally said and begun choosing all kinds of chocolate realizing
that he didn't knew what he was going to do with it after but he
didn't seem to mind at the moment because those eyes were incredibly
sweet and make his hearth jump
-here you go, the brown and white chocolates with Santa shape and
the others with hearths, bells, flowers, reindeers, snow mans and
Christmas trees are in here-
he gave him a paper bag
-thanks-
he said with a blush in his cheeks he really have overreacted by
buying all those chocolates maybe he had realized that for once in
his life he was attracted to somebody
-have a happy Christmas-
finally he wished to the boy surprising himself just a few minutes
ago he was thinking what a stupid holiday Christmas was and now he
was saying that to a complete stranger
-I hope that this Christmas is unforgettable to you-
the boy with the Santa hat said with a wink, Rukawa hurried himself
far from that store.
The boy with the Santa hat was still looking at the direction he had
left with a grin on his face, he was a really good looking boy and
his blue eyes were really amazing he was daydreaming when a voice
knock him out of it
-you really like him ¿don't you?-
-wha…what?-
the girl toke the Santa Claus hat out of his head and then hit him a
little with it
-don't play fool with me Hanamichi, I know you like him, that smile
and the dreaming look in your face are unmistaken-
Hanamichi rub the part of his head where the girl had hit him and
the red hair was moved at the instant
-aww Ayako that hurts-
-what I said or where I hit you-
the redheaded boy smiled
-hey Ayako ¿are you exited about going to the restaurant this
afternoon to eat? You know that we all are going to be there-
he said evading to answer, she look at him suspicious
-ok, I'm going to let you change the subject for now but you know
I'll find out ¿right?-
the redheaded boy blush but didn't say anything
-ok, yes I'm exited Riota told me that it was going to be a day to
remember and I guess in a good way-
she said frowning there had been a lots of unforgettable days
because of the troubles in them especially the usual jokes that the
Sakuragi Gundam and the trouble couple Mitsui and Riota use to do
even when their partners Kogure and Ayako told them a million times
that they should keep that down a little bit, she sigh
-anyway he told me to dress especial for this day and so I will-
Ayako smiled brightly
-you should, we're closing now to get ready in order to go to the
restaurant besides I want to see Santa and ask him something really
special-
-you still believe ¿right Hanamichi?-
he only answer with a grin and she smile
-so ¿are you going to ask for that handsome boy for a Christmas
present?-

She laughs really happy.
It was almost two o'clock Rukawa was entering the restaurant and he
saw his cousin waving excitedly to him
-here we are!-
he said if there had been a different person maybe the costumers
would have complain but Sendo with his bright smile could convince
anyone to do exactly as he wishes to do, Rukawa walk across the
tables and when he was about to sit down he saw a red hint of hair
he turn around to see it better then he stumble and was about to
felt down but he quickly recovered from it and when he look for the
red hint of hair it was gone, he sigh maybe he was going crazy but
he was seeing a lot of red hair that day
-¿what happen?-
ask Sendo surprised
-¿are you okay?-
wonder Koshino giving him a worried look, Rukawa felt a blush on his
cheeks an nodded
-I'm ok, I…just stumble-
he felt so embarrassed it was unlikely for him to stumble anywhere
especially if he was really awake, he sat down quickly and try to
look calm ¿what was the deal with him that day?
-¿are you sure you're ok?-
ask Koshino surprised by the blush in Rukawa's cheeks
-yeah I am-
-well if you're fine lets order then-
-I'm fine I already say so-
-ok, ok we get it you're fine-
Sendo sweat drop and look at his koibito with a worried look the
other give him a warning look they knew well enough not to upset
Rukawa specially in the Christmas holydays he had some aversion to
it an they didn't want him to be upset
-so ¿have you seen Santa yet?
Sendo said changing the subject, Koshino sweat drop, and Rukawa only
sigh and deny with his head
-he's over there!-
his cousin pointed at the center of the restaurant where there was a
big Christmas tree beautifully decorated and there was a big gold
chair with a man in a red suit and a lovely smile
-I saw him, he looks kind of familiar-
-well duh he's Santa Claus-
-I know is just…-
Rukawa frown, he didn't know why but this particular Santa Claus was
so alike the Santa he saw when he was only nine years old that it
was incredible, that was the reason that lead him to get up and
decided to talk to him
-excuse me-
he said then he walk until he was in front of Santa
-I… I wanted to ask you something-
In another part of the restaurant just a few moments ago there was a
handsome redhead entering the room to meet his friends
-Hanamichi I'm so glad you could make it-
a boy with glasses said
-thank you Kogure-
-at least you found the place-
-¿what do you mean Mitchy¿do you think I'll get lost?-
everyone laugh
-¿what are you laughing at?-
-don't worry about they Hanamichi I'm glad you're here-
said Ayako with a bright smile, then they hear a commotion in the
place lots of girls and boys were looking at a boy with straight
black hair and deep blue eyes who had just stumble
-he's your boy-
Ayako said with a whisper to Hanamichi
-¿your boy?-
ask Kogure who was sitting right next to them
-yeah, the boy that went this morning to our chocolate store and
Hanamichi wouldn't keep his eyes out of him-

Kogure saw Hanamichi who didn't care what they were saying he could
only look at the boy who was now walking towards Santa
-excuse me-
he said after quickly getting up and hurried himself to the big
Christmas tree, he hide himself behind it and try to hear what the
cute boy with blue eyes was saying.
When Rukawa got near the man he sigh and say
-I…I want to ask you something-
the man nodded
-¿what do you want to know?-
Rukawa look around to see if anyone was hearing and when he didn't
saw anyone he had the courage to say
-years ago I ask you something, I ask you for a boyfriend for
Christmas and that day of Christmas I didn't get it, I want to know…-
-if you are going to get it this Christmas-
the old man finished the phrase
-yes-
he answer relief that he wouldn't have to say it out loud
-well I think that this Christmas is probably the one you've been
waiting for-
Rukawa nodded and returned to his table, then Santa turn toward the
Christmas tree
-¿did you hear that Hanamichi?-
the boy that at that time was still hiding blushed and approached to
the golden chair
-yes, hey ¿how did you knew my name?-
-well I'm Santa Claus ¿remember?-
the boy smile brightly and nodded
-yeah you're right-
-¿and¿what do you think¿you're going to fulfill the dreams of
this dear boy?-
-I'm going to try with all my hearth-
he said with a blushed on his cheeks and a sweet smile on his face
-I know-
Rukawa returned to his table and with expectation Sendo ask
-¿well¿what did you said to Santa?-
the boy blushed and turn his head to other place so his cousin would
look at him at the eyes
-isn't of your business-
-so ¿are we going to order?-
Koshino said after a while breaking the silence that had capture the
whole table, after they ate, they dismissed each other and everyone
went to his house not before Sendo said
-I hope you have a lovely Christmas Kaede, I know for sure that
Santa is going to give you a present you would never forget-
Rukawa new that this particular year he would have to spend
Christmas eve all by himself because Sendo, the person who he always
hang out in Christmas eve, would want to be alone with Koshino to
ask him to move in, so he try not to feel so lonely when he arrive
at his house after all he had always had been a lonely person, he
had never had fall in love with nobody so even when he spend his
Christmas with his cousin he keep feeling lonely anyway and remember
that present that he never got it was so much painful in that
particular day because it was a reminder that he was alone in this
world with nobody to love, so it was kind of sad but he didn't knew
why he felt so in peace with himself that Christmas maybe it was
because the hope that he had buried deep in his hearth about a
Christmas with someone to love that day had reappear, he didn't want
to let it grow but he desire it so much, that even in his house with
not a single holiday ornament it felt like Christmas, thinking about
it he felt sleep that night of Christmas, not knowing that there was
a miracle about to happen.
