Challenge or fate?

Hyuuga Neji always cursed his own fate – he was born in the branch family of the Hyuuga clan, and like his father, his fate always would be to protect people from the main family.

He used to hate this fact, but nothing could be done to change it, he was trapped by fate.

It was his destiny.

He used to hate his cousin Hinata because she was born in the main family of the Hyuuga clan – but she was the weakest of all the Hyuuga family - a shame for their clan, so naïve and incapable. It was her fate: – to be weak forever.

But, even if he was more skillful than her, Neji used to envy Hinata, because she was free. She didn't have a damn seal in her forehead bounding her to a caged life.

Neji used to wonder how good it would be to fly freely on the sky, like a bird, like the wind.

He used to think like this, until they confronted each other at Chunnin Shiken.

It was his fate to humiliate such a weak person and show her how useless she was, but she refused to accept this fact, enraging him.

"Nobody can change his own fate - what is wrote, will be."

He probably could've killed Hinata if their teachers didn't interpose between them, but he didn't care, because he was the winner, and, as soon he knew that Naruto should be his next opponent, his victory was assured.

And again, he faced other person who denied his fate – Naruto and Hinata were fated to be defeated by him, because he was a genius. But, something inexplicable happened and Neji watched his world fall down when was defeated by Naruto.

Hyuuga Neji's major creed was destroyed, leaving him completely lost. While Neji was lost in own misery, his uncle Hiashi came and gave him a letter.

A letter wrote by his beloved father.

The letter that had changed his life forever, in which was written that in spite of what he used to believe, his father hadn't been killed by Hiashi orders – his father chose to die to save his brother, and for the first time since the clan was divided in two, the will of the secondary family overruled the main family's will.

His father was like Hinata and Naruto, all of them refused to accept an unwanted fate, and even if they weren't successful at first trial, they kept trying.

And so, he finally understood: it was always his hands to choose to see those difficulties in his life as fate or challenge.

Instead of blaming others for his fate, he could tries to make a better fate for himself.

Suddenly, his world wasn't a prison anymore.

Hello

This is my first Hyuuga Neji fanfiction and I´m not sure if it was a good trial. I use to write about Sasuke, Sakura and Itachi because they are intricated characters, but to write about Neji creeds on fate was a good exercise too.

This is the first time I wrote something in english, instead to write in portuguese first to translated it later, so if I made some mistakes, I apologize for any mistakes in this fanfiction.

Thank you for revises all of my fanfictions, Bella! You are amazing.

If you enjoyed this fanfiction, send me a review!
