The Ring's Resurrection
PART I
Outside of the treacherous caverns of Mt. Doom an old man with a staff climbed the Mountain. The old man slowly advanced to the fires. He extended his hand and his staff gleamed. He shouted a spell with a masculine voice. Suddenly all of Mordor shakes and something glows in the lava. A gold circle levitates from the fires. As it nears the man, it becomes obvious that this circle is a ring. The man stretches out his hand but just as the ring reaches his grasp something knocks him down. "PRECIOUS!" The creature screeches. The ring rolled on the ground getting out of site.
"GET OFF ME!" The man screams. But all the creature did was bite. His sharp teeth sank into his flesh causing the man to scream abruptly. The creature gagged, "Gollum, Gollum." Then the man punched the creature and it fell back, and it hanged on the edge of the cliff crying, "Precious… precious!" The man readies himself to push the creature back into the fires but then he is grabbed by another hand and pulled away. The creature pushes himself up and sighs, "Precious…"
"Who are you?" The old man squealed.
"You do not know who I am?" The man said. "I am Aragorn son of Arathron, King of Gondor! And who are you?"
"I am Mina' an. I'm a wizard." The old man said quietly.
"Yes, WAIT! The ring!" Aragorn yelped.
"What, What, where?" Mina' an asked.
"Under you. This explains everything! This is why I came here. I saw the eye of Sauron return. But who could be so strong to conjure such a spell to this?"
"
Me you fool!" Mina' an smirked. "I brought it back. Along with that horrid creature!"
Aragorn drew his sword and slit Mina' an's throat. Mina' an coughed up a measurable amount of blood and closed his eyes. He took his last breath and he passed away. Aragorn wasted no time. He picked up the ring and charged toward the fires. As he went the Sauron whispered in Aragorn's head. Aragorn stopped and looked at the ring. He stroked it gently with his finger. Then something thumped against his back. Aragorn turned around to see Gollum the creature Mina' an brought back to life along with the ring. Aragorn drew his sword. But Gollum went under it and grabbed the ring. Gollum spits in Aragorn's eyes and then Gollum ran. By the time Aragorn had recovered Gollum was long gone.
