Another one-shot. Wahooo. :D
Smile: One-shot.
"Smile though your heart is breaking..."
"Smile like you mean it.."
-----
James Potter loved smiling. It was simply fun to do, and it was also one of his favorite past-times. (besides snogging) It could have been the fact that James potter was wonderful at smiling and made all the girls in the school swoon whenever he did it – or just that he liked doing it. One would never know.
James sat in Transfiguration class, smiling to himself (obviously), and also smiling at his current obsession: Lily Evans. It wasn't exactly current, either. No, James had been obsessing over Lily since first year but the Head Girl hated his guts.
"Wipe that smirk off your face, Potter," Lily snapped pulling her wand out and turning towards a mirror on her desk.
"Rawr, someone's moody," He continued smiling and leaned over Lily's shoulder, pressing his hand on the small of her back.
"Potter, what the hell are you doing?" She hissed as he took her wand from the tabletop and placed it in her hand.
"It's swish not flick, Evans," James said, pressing his lips against her ear.
"Shut up,"
James just shrugged and mutter, "suit yourself," to the fuming red head.
The bell rang to end classes and Lily stormed out with James at her heel.
"Alright, Evans?"
She looked back, glowering. "Yes, I'm alright,"
"You sure?"
"Don't ask me again!" She snarled and disappeared in the mob of the crowd, James loosing her.
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, but kept right on smiling.

"Potato, you are so steamy and gooood!"
"Sirius," Remus Lupin said in a tired voice. "Please refrain from serenading your dinner just this once. You do know that it's a full moon."
"I know," Sirius shrugged but then grinned at his soup. "Sssooouuupppp, your broth is so tasty!"
"Oh God," James smirked, rolling his eyes at Sirius – but once those brown eyes caught Lily sitting a few seats away, the smirk turned into another smile.
Lily tossed back her long red hair and her green eyes met his. She blushed a little and turned redder when he flashed her his white-toothed smile.
She giggled a little, and smiled back. James' heart soared. He waved at her and smiled some more, and so did she, but this time Lily was pointing to one of her front teeth.
"What?" He mouthed the words, though still smiling.
Lily continued to point and then tapped her friend, pointing towards James. The friend laughed and started pointing to her teeth too.
"What?" James repeated, shrugging and Lily laughed harder.
Turning red, James turned to Remus.
"Err, Prongs.. there's a - "
"A what?" He said acidly. "A what, exactly?"
"Just smile," Remus smirked.
So James did as he was told and Remus laughed appreciatively.
"What the fuck is wrong with my mouth, Moony?"
Remus sighed and turned to Sirius but frowned – he was still singing like a crazy loon.
"Just .. err.. here," He conjured a mirror and gave it to James.
James paled once he looked in the mirror, but automatically turned bright red after his skin had reached the color of white. He turned towards Lily to see that she was still smirking at him.
"Oh God," He mumbled. "That's why she was laughing at me. Arghh! I'm such an arse face."
"Yes, yes you are!" Sirius chided, grinning.
"Stop smiling, Padfoot." James grumbled and slammed the mirror onto the table.
No one had the heart to tell James that he had bits of parsley stuck in his perfect white teeth.
