A Promise Kept
Ch. 1 An American Welcome
" Name?"
" Chihiro."
" Age?"
" 20."
" Home country?"
" Japan."
" Reasons for leaving?"
" Foreign exchange student of Ohio University."
" Welcome to the United States of America."
" Thanks."
Chihiro grabbed her passport from the airport attendant and walked over to collect her luggage. She looked around the California airport for a sign with her name on it. People her giving her looks of hatred as she walked by. 'Why is everyone looking at me that way?' she asked herself. 'I really hope the people I'm staying with don't act like this." Chihiro is a tall woman about five feet nine inches. Long, dirt brown colored hair flowed down her back to end at her waist. Her chocolate eyes were always sparkling. All in all, she was very beautiful and slim. The men at home would fall on their knees when she passed them. She was starting to get nervious and think they wouldn't show. Then she saw a young woman standing with a sign in her hand. It read Chihiro. Chihiro approached the young woman slowly.
" Are you Rhyann?" she asked the woman. She was about the same height as herself with long, blonde hair that reached her waist line. Brown and red highlights were entwined within her curly hair giving it a darker, mysterious apperance. Ice blue eyes could be seen when one looked onto her face.
" Yes, I'm Rhyann. You must be Chihiro," said Rhyann in a sweet voice. " Well if you don't mind I'd like to get started. It's a very long drive back to Ohio."
" Long drive huh? Great, I just took a twenty-two hour plane ride and now we're going on a road trip. Joyful!"
" Aww, don't worry Chihiro. I promise you'll have plenty of entertainment on this road trip. I'll get us a little lost, we'll go check out some clubs, and get back to Ohio about a week before first semester starts! It'll be fun!" Chihiro didn't know what to say to this. But two girls traveling alone didn't sound to good in these areas.
" Will it just be us on this trip?"
" No silly, I have some friends in the car. Come on lets go!"

" Alright, everyone this is Chihiro," Rhyann announced to the waiting group. " This is Ericka," she said pointing to a very tall woman with shoulder length, puffy brown hair and brown eyes, " This is Catherine or Cat," Rhyann gestured to a short girl with short blonde hair and blue eyes. She was pretty and very slim. " Next we have Lauren," she indicated to a tall blonde haired woman. She had beautiful blue-green eyes. " Jodie is next," Rhyann introduced her. Jodie was shorter but not as short as Cat with longer brown hair. Her brown eyes seemed to gleam. " And this is Brittney, " Rhyann gestured to a short dark haired woman. She had very short dark brown hair and shining hazel eyes. " And last of all, we have Emily," she said indicating to the last girl in the group. She had longer brown hair and green eyes. She was very skinny almost a twig.
" Nice to meet you all, "Chihiro said shyly.
" Hey Chihiro and welcome to the group!" they shouted.
" Now time to get moving ya'll!" Rhyann yelled shoving Chihiro's luggage in the back of the black mini van. And now the adventure begins.
