Prologue

"Do you find me sadistic?"

Tom Riddle's words slithered their way around the boy's ringing ears. He lay sprawled on the floor, blood spilling from several parts of him, his hair a tangle of sweat and dirt. The youngster looked exhausted, swollen by many kicks and punches, but his eyes reflected a curious mixture of fear and utter rage as he panted, trying to will his body to move out of Tom's way.

Around and beyond him, several other people lay on their backs, not moving or yelling or breathing anymore. Many people whom he had loved were now gone, amongst sickly crimson pools of blood.

A soft ray of right bathed over his face, cleaning out the blood and dirt to leave the lightning-shaped scar in his forehead clearly visible. If slightly, the fleeting light seemed to outline a 'T' on the boy's features.

"I bet I could fry an egg in your head about now, if I wanted."

His words were soft and taunting. The boy's eyes followed the man, feeling white-hot, pulsing hate coursing throughout his body. "No, kiddo, I'd like to believe, even now, you're aware enough to know there isn't a trace of sadism in my actions ..."

Tom paused and pondered. And resumed his pacing.

"Okay, maybe towards these other jokers, but not you." He ended, somewhere off-screen, as the boy's face was clean and bright, though he looked utterly beaten up and tired.

"No, kiddo, at this moment ..." Tom's wand hand lifted to waist-height, clearly pointing at the boy's chest down on the floor. "This is me, at my most masochistic ..."

"Tom-" The boy spat on a great effort. "Ginny did love you-"

The light shooting from Tom's wand bathed his face and left a trace of sickly green on his pale features, and the youngster closed his eyes, his head falling limply on one side.

Author's Notes: The inspiration for this odd story came to me through a graphic adaptation of the movie teaser from a very talented person (if you've seen the term 'potterpuffs' before, you might know who I'm talking about). Harry looked really mad on that yellow outfit, believe me. I'll tell you where it is if you ask politely.

Now, this is not a parody, though I did intend it to be one at first. It's odd the way the stories are too similar and fit on each other with only a decent amount of tweaking here and there. Not nearly as if, say, someone wrote a Power Rangers/Harry Potter crossover ...

Disclaimer: Most of the dialogues, scenery and many elements here belong to that excellent Quentin Tarantino's movie "Kill Bill". Some of them had been altered to fit with Potter mythology, which belongs in its entirety to J.K. Rowling and a few lucky dudes from Warner Bros. So, that leaves the shameless tweaking and distorting of them as my credit, along with the obvious derangement. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?
