Kouji reached up on his tiptoes, trying to add the star to the top of the tree.

"Ah... Genrou, I can't quite reach the top!"

Kouji tried one last time, flailed, and fell over.

"Ahaha! C'mon, Kouji!"

Tasuki pulled Kouji up from the ground, then stuck his head through his friend's legs, hoisting him onto his shoulders. Kouji reached up and finally stuck the star atop the decorated tree. Tasuki let the blue-haired man back down to the ground.

"Now all we need is to turn on the lights!" said Tasuki.

Kouji plugged the lights into the socket. The boys looked up expectantly... but nothing happened.

"Uh... the lights don't work." said Kouji, in a rather observant moment.

"Ha, I have a solution for that!" Tasuki gave a fanged smile.

"What do you mean, Genrou?"

"Rekka Shin'en!" Tasuki waved his tessen at the tree, which promptly lit ablaze, making a bonfire out of the presents underneath.

"Haha... oops. There go the presents!"

"It's okay, Genrou. I already have the best present of all."

"Oh? What present is that?"

Kouji pointed up at the sprig of mistletoe above himself and Tasuki.

"You."
